Villa d'Este Restaurant sur Nice

Great experience at La Villa d’Este. We had pizza and pasta and both were genuinely delicious - light, flavorful, and perfectly done. The atmosphere is lively, service is quick, and the whole place has that classic Italian energy.

Visited the restaurant Jan 9 2026. My wife and I ordered pasta dishes. Macaroni and rigatoni. Portion was too much to eat, as stated elsewhere. Unfortunately the pasta was topped with grilled cheese that actually spoiled an otherwise tasty sauce. Remove the cheese and it was good underneath!! I know each chef has their own takeaway on a dish but this was too much cheese. Better to have cheese, on the side, and let the customer decide.

One of my favorites in Nice! The plat du jour is always excellent. I’ve shown two examples here - osso bucco and Merlu.

The food is very good but take into consideration that it is way too big for a person.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. It is a bit on the pricier side, but I felt it was worth it for the overall experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure everyone was comfortable. There were quite a few tourists dining here, which says a lot about its popularity. The food came out in just a few minutes, and the team checked in often to make sure everything was perfect. Great atmosphere, great service, and a spot I’d definitely recommend

The portions are big (we couldn’t finish) and food is delicious, service is attentive and friendly, other than making jokes about giving more tip —even though we gave around 10% already. Food prices are reasonable as well. Recommended

Overrated. I was there just last week. Their portions are big, however, they do not allow shareables. Each person has to have their own entre. Hence if you want to have a huge meal, pay top dollar for average quality & service, go for it. Instead go to OSCARs (i went there too), maybe 50 steps down the street. Similar menu. They have amazing food, great portions, good quality & service.

Portion sizes are huge and the service was quick!!! We ordered the Cesar salad, pizza and gnocchi. The salad was delicious. The chicken was crisp and tender. The pizza was good. You can taste the aged cheese in the gnocchi which was really good especially with fresh cracked pepper.

This places deserve more ratings bc it was one of the best food we had in Nice! We dined at 7:30 and if we waited any longer we would’ve been stuck in a massive queue. I ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi and my husband ordered the lasagna.. we wanted to order the mussels for appetizers but luckily our server (jokingly) warned us about the food portions (basically a standard American portion or good for two). Sure enough we had to take our dishes back to our airbnb bc neither of us could finish it. Now about the food.. my god! The best gnocchi I’ve had ever! It was so soft and the perfect blend of potatoes with generous 4 cheeses. The lasagna was also amazing! We had absolutely not complaints about the food. And our server was very attentive with a good attitude. Highly recommended and will always go back when we visit.

Really nice place and a great recommendation from a local! The food/wine was delicious, the lasagna was top and the desserts were incredible. Really nice staff, top!!! Thank you for the great experience!
