We chose this restaurant completely at random because we were just passing by and we were very hungry, and the cozy atmosphere really caught our attention. To be honest, we didn’t regret it at all! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, including the desserts, and the service was excellent too. We 100% recommend it and will definitely come back the next time we’re in Pau!

❤️ A real gem in Pau! We had an exceptional time at Henri IV, in the heart of the Château district. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome and were taken care of by a lovely, smiling, and attentive team. As for the food, we were simply delighted! Delicious, beautifully presented, and generous portions, all served in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. You can really feel their desire to please and offer a wonderful experience to their customers. A place where you come to eat well, but above all, where you leave with a smile. 😊 Thank you to the whole team for this fantastic time! We will definitely be back and we 100% recommend Henri IV to anyone who wants to have a great time in Pau. 👏🍽️❤️

We had a lovely experience last night on the terrace. The food (starter and main course) was full of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the Prosecco. However, we found the staff a bit uninspiring, the Prosecco glasses outdated (even though the wine glasses were very attractive – it's increasingly trendy in restaurants to serve Champagne or Prosecco in wine glasses), and the three-chocolate dessert didn't really taste like chocolate (no chocolate aroma at all), especially considering the bill was close to €120. But overall, a great experience. Thank you.

Saved our evening! We were struggling to find a table at any restaurant and this family run restaurant welcomed us in. Food and service were outstanding. The duck and chicken were a particular highlight and the local white wine divine!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A superb discovery for my birthday! Everything was absolutely excellent, with truly delicious and carefully prepared cuisine. But what also makes the difference is the welcome; the team is lovely, smiling, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. It's a pleasure to spend time in a place where you feel so welcome! We're not from Pau, but if we have the opportunity to return, we will definitely not hesitate to come back. A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend!

This restaurant truly deserves high praise, as everything was perfect from start to finish. We enjoyed a delicious trout tartare, a chicken supreme, a pork tenderloin, and baby squid: each dish was a resounding success. The cooking was perfectly executed, with a special mention for the chicken and pork, which were remarkably tender. The quality of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen are evident in every dish. It was so good that I even ordered the trout tartare for dessert… a first for me, but what a delightful surprise! The modern decor also creates a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. Finally, the service deserves special mention: a professional, friendly, and attentive team, truly dedicated to their guests. An exceptional experience that we highly recommend. Bravo to the entire team and thank you for this wonderful moment!

The food is delicious and refined. The owner is friendly, the service efficient. The prices are reasonable, and it's just a stone's throw from the castle.
