Wonderful! The vegan mapo tofu was fantastic, very tasty and a generous portion. The price is great and there are many vegetarian options, in addition to the excellent service in English (it helped me a lot as I don't speak French). I wish I had more time in Paris to try other dishes haha ​​I highly recommend it.

My favorite Chinese canteen. I've been coming here since 2006. Every time I'm in Paris, homemade ravioli is on my list. I would easily name homemade herb and pork ravioli among my favorite dishes in the entire world. ❤️ I like to see that - certainly because of the gentrification of the neighborhood - there are more and more people who appreciate this extraordinary canteen.

The mapo tofu still good as well as the eggplants. A canteen with classic offerings and unchanged quality, I often came there when I lived on the street a few years ago. It was worth it then. Because there, prices have increased considerably, and above all, how unpleasant it is to have your card refused at the counter. We look at you as if it was normal in 2024 for a restaurant to do this and you, on the other hand, were not. We didn't have physical cards to withdraw from (just our cell phones on which our credit cards are located), so we make you understand that well.. ok.. you can pay by Paypal.. and then we press you, and you have to send a screenshot.. alalala, never again, the uncomfortable atmosphere at the end ruined our lunch break, thank you.

I've never been to China, but I'm sure it looks like the food at Alex's. Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is authentic, it really is the warm and bohemian Belleville that we love. Special mention for the ravioli, lion's heads, water bindweed, smoked duck, all dishes that I have tasted for over 20 years, and which I enjoy returning to each of my stays in Paris.

The restaurant looks like my canteen, which I miss because I lived in Belleville. It had been decorated and was tidy. It was a Saturday evening, so it was too crowded and customers were waiting outside the restaurant. The Shanghainese noodles are really good, it's an old favorite. However, it was disappointing to find that the toasted ravioli appeared to have been reheated from a baked dish. The waitress didn't smile and was a bit scary 😟 Prices have increased significantly from what they were pre-Covid. I'll go back next time, but at least let us use the card, it hasn't changed since… 😞

19/09/2024: We arrived from the Versailles excursion, and we were looking for a restaurant to eat. We were looking near Plaza Sidney, and we saw the Villa Verdi Restaurant, Italian, which looked good, and we decided to eat well, because these days, with the rush and so on, we have eaten well, but pizza, salads...etc. . First we ordered tomato carpaccio with motzarella, which the very friendly waiter recommended to us, and it was delicious. The truth is that I don't know if it was motsarela or burrata, because it didn't taste good to us. For the main course, mixed seafood and entrecôte with risotto, well, the dishes had a longer and more artistic name, but I no longer remember it. The fact is that they were delicious and a good quantity. We didn't have dessert, because we couldn't take it anymore, but I'm sure they would be very delicious. We had an espresso and that's it. We have eaten very well, it met our expectations. Of course, it is not cheap, but to eat well, it is worth it for a day. Very friendly staff. And from the terrace, you can see the Eiffel Tower.
