Why Not sur Epernay

My absolute favorite! I loved everything about it 😍

Had a really nice meal here - lobster in a brioche bun to start, fantastic, had spring onions running through it for a little bite, delish! Followed by cod with a dry tomato sauce, which was also lovely. Can heartily recommend.

Highly recommended. Reservations are a must. French cuisine at a fair price.

Really delicious food, lovely restaurant, professional service, can recommend sitting inside even if the sun is shining, it gives a completely different experience.

We booked for lunch as a deliberate ploy to stay out of the heatwave the area was experiencing. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had three courses and it was well paced between courses, not rushed, food excellent in terms of quality, display and cooking style - we couldn’t fault any aspect of our experience. Considering the restaurant was only maybe half full that lunchtime the service was good without being over-bearing. We would like to return to Epernay in cooler/normal conditions (all our days were 36-38 degrees) and would absolutely return to this restaurant. Excellent choice of champagne and wines and a casual/relaxed environment but high quality in all the food aspects.

Nice restaurant. Bit of a show to prep tartare the boeuf at the table, filet the fish at the table ( waitress needs some more training to do this properly) and burn the creme brulee at the table (using some kind of burning liquid ( just show and this should really be done in the kitchen with an iron). Overall ok experience, though plenty of room for improvement

A great spot in Épernay – Why Not is exactly the kind of place you hope to find. We had a reservation but arrived late due to travel delays (Le Shuttle running behind), and the team couldn’t have been more accommodating – no stress at all, just a warm welcome. The food was delicious, simple and well executed, and the wine and Champagne list is very well curated – plenty of excellent choices to enjoy the region properly. As an independent travel agent, this is exactly the sort of relaxed, high-quality restaurant I like to recommend to clients – great food, good wine, and genuinely thoughtful service.

We had a very good meal. The meat was excellent. The only downsides were the noise level and the chaotic service. The waiters couldn't tell us anything about the dishes or the champagnes, and it was very slow. A shame, because the food was very good.
