Xaia Cafetería sur Urrugne

We were looking for a typical restaurant near Urrugne and stumbled upon this small, old-fashioned establishment. The food is simple but excellent, the owner is very helpful and enjoys a chat. Special mention for the restrooms.

You absolutely must sit at this table! Nothing more to say, atypical, typically good!

An inn with over 100 years of history, where a family atmosphere reigns supreme, just like its delicious cuisine that simply makes you want to come back for more! The staff are warm, smiling, and welcoming.

We were greeted with a smile and kindness by the chef. The meals are homemade and delicious. You feel right at home. Don't hesitate to stop by for a gourmet break.

Attention, precious people, abstain!! Booking at lunchtime for dinner is recommended. From Hendaye beach, a pony (bike) ride is fantastic!! What a beautiful ride along the port and the canal (20-30 minutes). The restaurant is in a barn; it's rustic and unpretentious. Don't count the minutes of waiting or any of that nonsense; just switch off your brain and let yourself live. It's vacation! Have a drink and observe; there's plenty to see!! Omelette, beef, duck. The chef is a gem and super friendly. The owner seems grumpy, but he's very welcoming and chatty. It's a very fond memory of our stay. We love the atmosphere and the setting. We ride back on our bikes at night (after digesting) with a glass of wine in hand, and life is good!

A quintessential bar with a rich history, serving the best cider house-style steaks and excellent cider. They also host alternative rock and electronic music events.

We stopped by chance and what a wonderful, unique restaurant it was! We ate extremely well, thank you to the owner and her trainee 😉😉😉

Superb meal. A superb rib of beef with great flavor.

A truly unique and unusual place, well worth a visit. Don't let the terrace fool you; go inside, you won't be disappointed. The cod omelet is excellent, as is the steak. You'll also get cheese, coffee, and a small traditional liqueur, all served with a smile from the owner. I highly recommend it.
