Excellent Japanese restaurant with amazing handmade soba noodles. The noodles had a wonderful texture, the tempura was perfectly light and crispy, and every dish was fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food in Paris, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Yen in Paris is high-level sushi — we’ve only managed to dine there once, but it was a truly interesting experience. Everything was excellent and sophisticated, a real step above. Definitely a place we want to return to.

Second Time there to confirm my initial feeling: Food is good but way overpriced. Several restaurants in Paris are as good and much cheaper.

Proper Japanese food in a lovely space, with a large Japanese clientele. We loved everything we ordered - soba, miso cod, Scottish salmon nigiri, pickles... and the desserts should not be missed! Very cute outside space too.

The food wasn't bad, but nothing special. The portions were very small and the prices were really high, not justified by the cost of the ingredients. The price of the soba noodles (about 80 grams), in particular, was completely unjustified; they were no different or tastier than the ones you buy dry at any Japanese supermarket. The restaurant left me a bit perplexed; I paid €60 and left feeling hungry.

We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh, high-quality products; the sea bass and langoustine were exceptional.

I was so impressed to find such delicious soba noodles overseas.
The kashiwa mochi with miso bean paste filling, which seemed to be a seasonal treat, was also very tasty.

Yen in Paris is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and the staff made it feel like we had stepped straight back into Japan. The hand made soba noodles are exceptional, with the kind of texture and depth you only get from true craftsmanship. The service was outstanding, real omotenashi at its best, thoughtful and effortless in a way that feels genuinely Japanese.
Finishing the meal with soba yu, the hot water used to cook the soba, was a wonderful touch and something you rarely see outside Japan. It brought the whole experience together and made the meal feel complete. A beautiful and authentic Japanese dining experience in the heart of Paris.

A very pleasant experience.
The ingredients are fresh and of high quality, and the dishes reflect a refined approach to Japanese cuisine.
Service is attentive and professional, and the space is spacious and comfortable.
The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy at times.
Personally, I still have a preference for the Chinese-style version of Soba 蕎麵 — unfortunately, it’s quite hard to find a good one in Paris.
