For lunch, the atmosphere was calm and very pleasant in the magnificent ground-floor room of this old house: wood paneling and stained glass windows provided a warm setting for the tarte flambée, which was so light you could eat it even without being hungry. Our waiter, Benjamin, was charming and efficient, and treated us to a historical overview of this iconic Strasbourg guild house, followed by a tour of the upper rooms, which were just as magnificent as the one downstairs. The meal was inexpensive and plentiful, especially the Munster cheese platter! The service was efficient and the atmosphere peaceful until 1 p.m. I highly recommend it.

A very pleasant lunch at Zum Strissel. Benjamin welcomed us warmly and showed us around the house. The flammenkueches were as enjoyable as Benjamin and his historical insights. Special mention for the very generous plate of Munster cheese. We will gladly return.

I invite you to visit this amazing restaurant, where you'll meet excellent, friendly staff. The cuisine is absolutely delicious! We've become obsessed with Alsatian cuisine! PS. It's worth noting that this is one of the oldest restaurants in Strasbourg, dating back over 700 years...

08/03/2026: Delicious little cakes. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Unfortunately, seating is only available inside. The coffee is from the Reck roastery. So everything was perfect.
