21/02/2026: Not bad. Very nice view. But the portions are ridiculously small. I was still hungry after a main course and dessert.
17/02/2026: We enjoyed a lovely evening at Restaurant Le Pirate last weekend, on a dark and wet evening in Saint-Jean! Despite this, we felt very comfortable in the restaurant's enclosed 'outdoor' seating area, with heaters and warm blankets if needed. The service (one waiter working alone all evening) was warm, friendly and efficient and we felt we had one of the best traditional soup a l'oignon we have ever tasted, with just the right amount of sweetness and Gruyère cheese on top, it was really delicious!
We had a very good bottle of wine which was well priced and also enjoyed our main courses, which were from the 'suggestions du jour' menu.
We will look forward to returning to Le Pirate when we are back in Saint-Jean in the summer.

09/12/2025: This was delicious! We got pizzas, meatballs and dessert. All fresh made with love. The owner speaks English too. Highly recommend if you want to sit seaside and enjoy a fabulous meal.
21/11/2025: The atmosphere and service were nice, but the opening hours are inaccurate; it's caused me problems more than once.

09/01/2026: We were there in December and were able to have a leisurely breakfast. And the view is more than just decent.
16/12/2025: Magnificent, especially when the terrace isn't there. The beach regains its grandeur, and the path leading to the magnificent hike is finally visible. This hike that circles the peninsula is incredible 😻.

14/10/2025: Following the purchase of a simple basic formula, the sandwiches are tiny, made up of cheap fillings whose quality and taste are affected, the dessert is barely edible, the choice is not very varied and I'll pass over the expensive prices, in short, fortunately the welcome from a young saleswoman was very friendly, I strongly advise against it

11/01/2026: First and last visit to Le Cadiac restaurant.
The four-seasons pizza was cold and tasteless, with an unbelievable amount of onions—I've never seen anything like it! It was sent back to the kitchen to be reheated, but came back exactly the same. It was mistakenly served to another customer before I had to retrieve it myself. The ham tasted questionable, and there were hardly any other ingredients.
The owner was extremely unpleasant and threw the bill on the table; luckily, I didn't pay it. Only the young waitresses were nice. This kind of establishment thinks it only serves passing customers! What a shame, we live in the area...
Absolutely no professionalism...
05/01/2026: Unfortunately, the service doesn't match the quality of the food or the location. A shame. Just look at the responses to negative reviews and see the attitude of those who work or manage this place. With this kind of friendliness and these kinds of responses to customers, why did they decide to open a restaurant? It's a shame in a place like this. 5 days on the French Riviera and it was the only place where we had bad service.

14/08/2024: En cette canicule, déjeuner dans le restaurant climatisé fut un luxe. Accueil professionnel, service professionnel. Une coupelle de tapenade et des gressins accompagnaient mon verre de vin. Le chef avait préparé du tagliata di manzo, plat italien que j'ai découvert, juste ce qu'il fallait par cette chaleur, avec une salade de fruits frais au dessert. Un repas apprécié !
03/08/2024: Dans une partie des jardins de la Villa, un cadre calme, détendant et bénéficiant de la fraicheur des arbres et des plantes. Nous y étions pendant une période de canicule (30-32 degrés Celsius) et nous ne ressentions pas la température. Par ailleurs, la cuisine est très bonne avec un choix limité mais suffisant. Les salades sont très bonnes avec une originalité quant aux arômes ; il en est de même pour les sorbets. Mon regret est de n'avoir pas goûté aux tartes que j'ai vu en sortant et qui devaient être excellentes au regard du reste de la cuisine. Le service est professionnel. Le rapport qualité-prix est très correct. Nous avons eu la chance de profiter du jardin car la salle intérieure semble être bruyante.

Au prix de 38 euros !!!
Le verre de vin a 9 euros et pas bon !!!
17/06/2024: Charming welcome, excellent and very varied cuisine, only fresh produce and despite 3 courses, 2 glasses of white wine and a glass of Limoncello (gifted by the house!) I came away feeling light. My stomach never deceives me.

05/04/2024: Wir waren zu einem späten Mittagessen dort. Ein Platz auf einem Sofa in der Sonne, mit Blick auf den Hafen. Sehr netter Service, eine hausgemachte Limonade mit Orange und Sanddorn (üppig mit Früchten und geschätzt um einiges mehr als der angekündigte halbe Liter), Hummus mit Gurken- und Karottensticks sowie einer Schale aromatischer Kirschtomate, ein Avocado-Brot (bestimmt eine sehr große oder zwei kleinere) mit Feldsalat, Sprossen, Kürbiskernen. Nicht billig, aber Preis/Leistung stimmt.

Glacier du Cap - Vanille et Chocolat

09/07/2024: Expérience déplorable chez ce glacier. La vendeuse, hystérique, a réprimandé nos enfants pour soi disant avoir touché des cuillères placées près de la caisse et notre enfant de 2 ans pour avoir simplement touché la vitrine en attendant sa glace. Elle a mis une pression inutile sur nous, faisant monter le ton à force de provocation malveillante et d’arguments irrecevables… l’apothéose lorsqu’elle s’est jeté sur les enfants pour leur retirer leur glace… Nos enfants sont traumatisés, n'ont pas dormi la nuit et parlent constamment de l'attitude « méchante » de la vendeuse. Clairement, les enfants ne sont pas les bienvenus ici. Fuyez!
