Pizzeria Sous la Voute

15/08/2026: I remembered eating in a restaurant's cellar with my grandparents when I was younger. As luck would have it, I came back to eat there 20 years later. Passing by today, I received a very warm welcome and the staff were lovely. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very inviting. I highly recommend it.
P.S.: Thank you to the owners for the cellar tour, which brought back some wonderful memories.
12/08/2026: We booked a table for two on Saturday, August 1st, for the evening. We received a warm welcome right away. The owners are wonderful, attentive, and always ready to explain things when we asked. We were even able to see the old-fashioned oven where the dishes are cooked—it's incredible! The food is delicious, and we wanted for nothing. We had a wonderful and relaxing evening. We came from Belgium and don't live next door, but one thing is for sure: we'll be back. Honestly, hats off to the owners and also to the person who cooks the dishes. Bravo and thank you again! 😍

15/08/2026: We had lunch on the terrace with our dog. The staff were very welcoming. They had a special set menu for August 15th... and it was excellent. Upon arrival, we asked the waitress to give us a little time between courses... And, quite unusually these days, she asked us each time if we had had enough time. We were disappointed not to be able to finish our plates, as the meal was very refined and generous. We were even offered two superb amuse-bouches as an aperitif. The sweetbread puff pastry was delicious, and the guinea fowl with morels was excellent, according to my husband, while I enjoyed the salmon and monkfish duo, which was a real treat... and the sabayon was excellent with lovely fresh fruit. When we paid the bill, we caught a glimpse of the kitchens... which were spotless.
And thank you again to the two very pleasant waitresses, who gave us great wine recommendations and were incredibly kind. The meal was also very peaceful. If we pass through Fumay again one day, we will come back

In a separate area: perfect.
Appetizers, starters, main course, dessert: perfect. Served all at once, without pressure or a long wait.
Highly recommended.

26/08/2024: Une carte simple mais efficace, un bon service, des prix très abordables, je recommande cet établissement, c’est la troisième fois et toujours bien accueilli et bien servi
16/07/2024: L’Hostellerie de la Vallée, à Fumay dans le Département des Ardennes, vient de changer de propriétaire depuis le 1er juillet 2024.
C’est Frédéric Pierangeli, Chef de Cuisine au Moulin Labotte à Haybes, qui en reprend les rênes, après le départ en retraite de Michèle et Antoine Douchamps, tout en gardant à la tête des cuisines l’excellent Chef Laurent Ponsart qui tient les fourneaux depuis quelques années à la grande satisfaction d’une clientèle de fidèles.
Le Chef Laurent Ponsart est un adepte de la cuisine inventive qui s’inspire des classiques de la bistronomie et sa jolie carte en est la preuve.
Une Escalope de Poulet à la Forestière ou un Sauté de Porc au Caramel deviennent, entre les mains de Laurent Ponsart, des mets savoureux avec des sauces particulièrement bien travaillées. Son Gâteau Renversé à l'Ananas et à la Crème Chantilly est une étape sur le chemin du paradis. Sa cuisine est simple mais authentique et de bon goût. Il vous propose des plats classiques ou du terroir ardennais.
Le service est parfait, le sourire est au rendez-vous et l’endroit est agréable. Un tout grand merci à Christelle. Il règne ici une ambiance chaleureuse dans laquelle on peut s’épanouir en se sentant tout de suite à l’aise et un peu comme à la maison.
Comme le précise le Chef Frédéric Pierangeli, nos clients ont à présent le choix entre mes deux établissements.
L’Hostellerie de la Vallée est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Il y a un parking public à proximité.

Une bonne Table à découvrir dans cette belle et verdoyante Vallée de la Meuse à Fumay et je vous la recommande vivement.
