28/09/2026: Cash money good Khmer noodle soup that's worth every Euro.
You CAN get pho here, but you want their special, the Phnom Penh noodle soup. Pork, shrimp, calamari, tripe - and more - plus a savory broth (14€ for normal, +2.50€ for a large bowl), the noodles come out quick.
I usually get a coconut juice or an espresso (afterwards) to get a little pep with my meal.
This is a casual eatery - dine solo, or bring a group of friends or family!
I've been coming here for years, and my interactions with the staff have been pleasant. It probably helps that I can speak broken Cambodian and French, though?

11/09/2026: An exceptional culinary experience for the taste buds!! Dishes tasted: Spring rolls (crispy and flavorful), Pho (traditional soup with an excellent, fragrant herb broth), Beef vermicelli (a flavor that reminds me of my trip to Vietnam—a true "madeleine de Proust"! So flavorful and aromatic! A real treat! 👍👏😋 Excellent welcome from the owners—kindness, humor, and courtesy! We returned the following week and I absolutely recommend it!! For anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Vietnamese and Asian dishes!!

09/06/2026: I placed my order at the kiosk at 12:49 PM, thinking it would be pretty quick. 25 minutes later, I finally received my salad. The portion seemed small, especially after ordering the double protein. There were only two people handling salad restocking, replenishing supplies, and taking payments. Overall, my experience was mixed. The salad didn't make up for the wait.

19/05/2026: The menu offers both spicy dishes (chicken chu chi or green chicken curry are my favorites) and milder options (the chicken or shrimp pad thai are quite generous), all prepared with care, as the menu is limited to ensure freshness. The service was friendly, and the dishes were explained clearly and with helpful advice.

I was captivated by the atmosphere of this place.
I was greeted by a wonderful person who was incredibly attentive and offered great advice.
I felt like I was transported to another world for an evening, just a few meters from my home.

19/10/2026: Tai Thu is my favorite Vietnamese spot in Guillotière. Friendly service, convenient to the metro, reasonable prices.
What to order? I always get their beef tartare salad. Fans of banh xeo should get the banh xeo. Note that it's better for dine-in, not takeaway.
PRO TIP 1: On their menu is a peking duck rice - it ISN'T a fried rice, but still delicious if you're quackers like me for duck.
PRO TIP 2: Bring cash. When I first came here years ago they didn't take cards, so my habit has been to bring Euros...
22/09/2026: While it used to be a good place, our recent experience a few days ago was disastrous. The bo bun, the quintessential dish, was inedible, the service was borderline rude, and to top it all off, you can never pay by card; the machine is always broken. I absolutely do not recommend it. What a shame.

18/09/2026: Absolutely terrible... the sautéed potatoes were undercooked and raw, the chicken skewers were overcooked and inedible, and there was no welcome whatsoever... avoid at all costs.
