29/10/2023: On October 21, 2023, my husband and I celebrated our wedding at the Guinguette du Golf with 50 of our loved ones. We had spotted La Guinguette a year earlier via a room rental site. We visited in August 2022 and literally fell in love with this place. Leucate is a little paradise far from the ultra-tourist towns on this coast. It is one of the oldest seaside resorts and it shows. the buildings have retained a small, outdated style from the 30s and 50s. Jean Laurent, one of the managers of the place and his father followed us step by step in the organization of our event. The big plus of this place is that it has around ten adjacent apartments. We are from the Ile-de-France region and our friends came from several regions. Everyone was able to sleep there so we started on Friday evening and finished on Sunday afternoon. La Guinguette du Glof is a wonderful place to get married, to remarry or any other precious moment!

21/09/2023: The service is correct, smiling and welcoming. The St Michel at sixteen euros is sorely lacking in flavor. It's not cooked. There is no surprise but rather disappointment Salad in a bag. I recommend this creperie to fill your stomach but not to enjoy it. Don't want to risk dessert at all.

17/09/2023: Very good food and cocktails. On the other hand, the service is very urgent, the plates and forks are taken away from us without us having really finished. Then we are told that our chairs are being taken away… we find ourselves with our consos still standing at our table. And 20 minutes later, the table was completely removed from us. It wasn't even 11 p.m. We should greatly review the “welcome” dimension that this place prides itself on. We left disgusted.

17/03/2024: Arrival with my 2 children, very poorly received. We left immediately. We came 2 years ago, we had a very nice experience. Too bad, we won't come back again.

31/03/2024: Better times. Although the food is not bad, the restaurant is completely abandoned, quite dirty, plastic plants everywhere. A shame because it is on the beachfront.

09/10/2023: La Stregheria is a truly delightful place to stay. The owners and their staff are charming, friendly and welcoming. They were very forgiving of my poor French and very encouraging as I slowly added to my vocabulary. Our room was stylish with cool, clear and comfortable décor and a cute little balcony looking out to the expansive beach and sea. Breakfast was a delight of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, lovely crusty bread, eggs and bacon/ham and great coffee, making a very good start to our days. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the menu and food was first class. The ambience is relaxed and chilled. La Franqui is a wonderful place to slow down and relax in this somewhat unusual spot on the Mediterranean. It retains an unspoilt, laidback and low key feel that is so hard to find anywhere else along the coast. I felt like I had stepped back a few decades to an elusively hippy, happy time and place. A broad sandy beach, lots of water sports options, some cool cafes and restaurants. Let’s hope it doesn’t become another beach with chains of big hotels; it is far too special a place to change in any way.

16/09/2023: Nice team, different flavors of ice cream very tempting ^^ I'm vegan so I couldn't taste everything but I still enjoyed it! Caramelized pineapple rum sorbet, vine peach, lemon ginger (very surprising, it stings a little), passion fruit, marbled chocolate banana, coconut 😍 shame not to have been able to taste the vegan chocolate ice cream (we were out of season so there had one less window) but there is already so much choice! ^^

30/03/2024: 30 minutes of sitting waiting without even taking our order or taking those of other customers who had just arrived. The waitress reacted when we got up to leave and when we told her that we were leaving because we had been waiting for 30 minutes for nothing, she couldn't find anything better to say than "well, leave" on a dry, really professional tone when a simple sorry would have sufficed
