A tout who pretends to be interested in you, but once seated, she goes back to accosting other passersby and ignores you the entire time.
The food was disgusting. I left my plate full; it was impossible to eat, and they didn't ask any questions or offer anything in return. Shocking! 😱
She sells you a dream of homemade food, but it's nothing of the sort.

04/08/2026: I never leave reviews, but this time the behavior and the way we were treated compelled me to do so. A woman strongly encouraged us to come, talking about homemade and "divinely delicious" dishes. Once seated... she completely lost interest; she was too busy touting passersby. My husband and daughter ordered calamari à la bastiaise, which was so bad they barely ate anything, and even I, who am not usually a picky eater, couldn't finish it. I tried drowning the calamari in lemon, but it was no use; it was truly disgusting. I mentioned it to the waitress, and since they hadn't eaten anything, I asked if it would be possible to have a small portion of fries to compensate, so they would have something in their stomachs. She hesitated, agreed, but the fries were ultimately charged. Only the grilled langoustines that I ordered were good. We were lured in by a sales pitch that didn't match the experience at all. It was disappointing and we won't be back.

Set menu €20: delicious pizza, Pietra beer, Italian ice cream.
Very pleasant shaded terrace. Good service.

22/07/2026: Warning! Fraudulent practices!
We ate here with two small children and wanted a large schnitzel with fries for them to share. We adults each ordered a flan, and each of us four ordered a drink. The bill included an additional charge of €16 (4 x €4) for "couvert" (cover charge), which we didn't understand! They explained, incomprehensibly, that we had to pay this because we had shared the food between the four of us. We explained that this wasn't true – the children had shared the food. That would perhaps justify an additional "couvert." We had already paid for one plate, so why four additional plates instead of three? We had two more plates with the flan, so why the extra plates at all? They didn't give us a clear explanation, they didn't mention it when we said the children were sharing, and they weren't accommodating. They claimed it was listed on the menu, digitally! (see attachment)
Please put up small signs warning of this strange practice. It has definitely spoiled our desire to visit Bastia!
14/07/2026: We wanted to spend some time here before the ferry and have a few beers. After one, we tried to pay quickly! The emphasis is on "tried." No waiter seemed to care about us, even though only two other tables were occupied. Furthermore, the service was very unfriendly and dismissed us with just two words. What a shame! We would have gladly spent more money there.

01/09/2024: Very welcoming and good atmosphere
25/08/2024: We decided to trust Marylise and Olivier for our wedding, and we were right to do so.
Marylise was attentive and a huge help for our day.
We highly recommend the Cape for their parties but for your private parties as well.
You can go there with your eyes closed.
Thank you very much to you Marylise, Bernard and Olivier.
