05/07/2026: Sunday lunch at 6 a.m. Polite but somewhat impersonal welcome and service. We ordered the daily specials with the salad/cheese buffet. Very good and reasonably priced for the location.
23/06/2026: We sat down on a whim. We had a panachée and French fries. Those fries were good!! Best fries I ever had — I am not kidding. So I decided to leave a review.

01/03/2026: Got charged 64 euros for a portion of chicken pieces with onion rings and 3 drinks xD said that there was something on the list I didn’t have and he said it was subtracted, did the maths after and apparently paid for a main and a beer I didn’t have. Great maths people
17/02/2026: Booked this place at the last minute as our other accommodation informed us they had bedbugs - obviously a common problem in Europe. Location was good, bus goes right past the door and the train station is about 5 - 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was basic but good, help yourself so no shortage. The room was fine no issues. We ate in the restaurant nearly every night, good value. A lot of the complaints seem to be about the building, it's a 150 years old so what do you expect? Staff were helpful, self check in which worked fine. It's a perfectly good place as long as you're not one of these moaners who what to pay bottom dollar and get 5 star service. I would happily stay here again.

28/06/2026: The food was as delicious as the owners were unpleasant, and I can assure you we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, but we're not prepared to pay for such a deplorable atmosphere and service! We come here to relax, not to put up with the moods of these two cantankerous women!
27/06/2026: We went there for the second time today and we'll never set foot in there again! The welcome was disrespectful, unfriendly, and there were no smiles. The items are very expensive.
We wanted to eat, but there was only one table with four people outside; everything was empty. My partner wanted a salad, but he misread the name, and the owner immediately corrected him. Then I told her I wanted a slice of ginger cake. We hadn't even finished our drink order when she immediately said, "You're supposed to eat here?" We gladly agreed. At that point, she told us it wouldn't be possible, miss, that we were only having a snack. So basically, get out, you're annoying me, you're not spending enough! Seriously, how can people like that run a business with so little kindness and consideration? It's a place to avoid at all costs; it's not worth spending a single euro there!

We stayed for a week at the La Cordée residence, and it was a simply fantastic experience! Nestled in an exceptional setting, this residence offers incredible views of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi, and even the little red train of the Mer de Glace, which you can see passing by in the distance from the balcony… A true daily spectacle.

But beyond this breathtaking panorama, what makes La Cordée unique is its high-end facilities, which clearly exceeded all our expectations:
• A heated indoor pool with views of the peaks
• A jacuzzi with a panoramic view of Mont Blanc, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains
• A modern gym, an indoor climbing wall, and even a wellness area
• A billiards table, a foosball table, a cozy reading corner, and large, tastefully decorated common lounges
• Outside: deckchairs facing the mountains, a small, peaceful lake, and even binoculars available to admire the peaks up close
