04/02/2026: So I highly recommend this restaurant, it's fantastic! A great place, a lovely atmosphere, I recommend it for a great time in a very clean and delicious setting. Go for it without hesitation!
02/12/2025: The owner was very welcoming and the clientele was friendly. The meat was excellent and the sides were fresh and generous. I will definitely return to this pleasant kebab shop.

Atmosphere without much charm... we were hoping for better
21/09/2025: The atmosphere and decor are in their original state, but let's move on...
As for the wines, the wines are served without tasting... at least in principle, Burgundy after all!
For starters, the salmon opera resembles what you might find at Flunch. Okay, I'm pushing it a bit, but it's disappointing... a tiny piece of salmon placed on a cheese mousse... meh...
The egg moeurette sauce (typical Burgundy!) lacked strength, according to my friends too.
The pikeperch fillet, overcooked and therefore dry for everyone, was also disappointing... the sides were basic, white rice not even seasoned.
Blueberry tart... if you're expecting what you can find in the Alps... forget it! It's a shame because there were so many positive reviews, so maybe we just got the wrong one... but the food was very "old school" in the end.
We pointed these little things out to the waitress when clearing away, and there was no small gesture or digestif offered despite the bill being over €400.
The politeness was also very limited; we felt like we were bothering someone by asking for a bill.

04/01/2026: The service was very attentive, the wait was short, and the food was impeccable, although the unfortunately limited number of customers may have contributed to this. Go and eat there; who else bothers to serve their customers properly on a Sunday evening at this time of year?

14/06/2024: Super beautiful and fun campsite where you can choose your own spot and there are plenty of beautiful spots. Good and very clean sanitary facilities.
Bread roll service every morning, every day except Wednesday the restaurant is open where Petra provides delicious dishes and Berry and Ria provide the service.
In short, this is a TOP campsite for cyclists, walkers, people who love peace and quiet and many others. The Nivernais canal flows past the campsite.
The nearest town is Corbigny, 4 km from the campsite.
10/05/2024: Small quiet campsite with good clean sanitary facilities and friendly Dutch owners. Cozy terrace for a beer or a snack. This is what relaxing camping in France should be like. Beautiful location in a park-like field on the canal

Café Vélo Nevers

02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places!
We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf!
The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes.
Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!
10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.
