15/08/2026: While cycling the Tour de Bourgogne, we spent a night at this well-equipped and very clean campsite near the canal. We had two spots for our hammocks and access to the refrigerator. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast is generous. Thank you for such a warm welcome!

25/07/2026: An impromptu stop during a stroll turned into a wonderful discovery. This restaurant is a true gem.
The welcome was warm and the service impeccable. A huge thank you to the young waitress, remarkably professional, always smiling, attentive, and caring.
As for the menu, it offers an excellent selection of dishes, all prepared with care. The plates are as beautiful as they are delicious, featuring quality ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors.
An address we recommend without hesitation and where we will gladly return.

04/08/2026: Excellently located restaurant in the center of Nevers. Impeccable food, service, and value for money. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
01/08/2026: We went to eat mussels and after sitting down at a table they said they didn't have any, so we ordered Aligot. We preferred to eat inside so we wouldn't have to breathe in anyone's smoke, and since the window was open, the table that was taken outside was a smoking table. I don't want to inhale smoke, and today, four days after paying by card, I see that they have charged me for the meal again (How did they get my information for that charge?). They then made a refund, but I find it worrying that they accessed my account.

13/08/2026: One hour wait, order still not ready, deplorable service, a waste of time tonight with children!
13/08/2026: I ordered by phone at 9:15 PM, they told me 25 minutes, but I've been waiting outside since 9:35 PM, it's 10:07 PM and they're serving the tables outside, so I won't be ordering anything.
They're confused by their order slip.

Café Vélo Nevers

02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places!
We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf!
The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes.
Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!
10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.
