23/02/2026: This was my first time back since the change of ownership, and I wasn't disappointed! The kebab meat is still excellent, by far the best in Nevers. The marinated chicken is also very good.
The portions are generous; it's impossible to leave hungry!
And to top it all off, the service is impeccable; you're greeted and served with a smile. The best kebab in Nevers!
04/02/2026: So I highly recommend this restaurant, it's fantastic! A great place, a lovely atmosphere, I recommend it for a great time in a very clean and delicious setting. Go for it without hesitation!

17/03/2026: A perfect gastronomic stop! We chose Le Beau Site for our two group dinners and we weren't disappointed. The welcome was warm, the service efficient even for a large group, and the food excellent. It's the ideal spot to end a day of riding in the Morvan in a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for these wonderful moments! 🍷🍽️
11/10/2025: A bit disappointed by the menu, which was ultimately very limited and on which two of the more interesting items were unavailable, replaced by another dish at an extra cost. The atmosphere lacked charm… we were hoping for better.

21/02/2026: The welcome was fantastic in a discreet and quiet room at the back. The food was magnificent; we ate our fill and got our money's worth (we had the tagine, which I highly recommend)! The very welcoming staff even gave some tagine to our dog. The chef was able to adapt the dish for someone with dietary restrictions due to allergies, making for an excellent overall experience.

Café Vélo Nevers

02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places!
We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf!
The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes.
Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!
10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.
