18/07/2024: I am facing a very dubious and even fraudulent practice.
I booked my night on Booking on 07.27.23 following an attractive offer.
This night was charged to me by Booking on my Paypal on 07.27.23 as well (important for the rest of the story).
I arrive to spend my night on 19.05.24
I pay the tourist tax as well as the parking upon arrival, so that I no longer have to do anything at Checkout.
Also, I am asked for a bank imprint of €50 for deposit (surprising practice, I have never seen this, but I do not alert myself and comply). Note that on the payment terminal, no amount is displayed.
The hostess informs me that everything is paid for and that we just have to enjoy.
Here we are the next day, at Checkout time: I am informed (the same lady as the day before) that I have to pay 135€ for the night we just spent!
So I ask where this sum comes from, the hostess tells me that the offer I received was a price error... I ask to speak to the manager.
I will summarize as briefly and as factually as possible:
- I am asked to pay because it was a pricing error, they sent me an email to inform me of this in September:
IT'S WRONG ! I never received an email to inform me of this, and as proof, since I was able to chat with people who had benefited from the same offer, some of them did receive an email, but an email from cancellation of their reservation. My room was maintained, so I never received this email.
- why not inform me of this upon my arrival? I just wouldn't have lasted the night and we would have left, I wouldn't have spent €135 to sleep 45 minutes from my home! So they explain to me that the lady at reception is a beginner... sorry but as friendly as she was, it's not my problem, I don't have to suffer from the lack of competence of the staff.
- the manager also informs me that Booking has not taken the sum from the promotional offer, I must therefore pay for my room: once again this is FALSE, I have my Paypal transaction statement as proof.
So I decide to leave the hotel, quite simply, I paid for my room on Booking and I believe that the errors that were made were not my fault.
What a surprise today (21.05.24): I have 135€ withdrawn from my bank account: the bank imprint was therefore not 50€, the amount is not defined, they reserve the right to withdraw the amount they want and take NO responsibility for THEIR MISTAKE.
I don't intend to stop there, believe me, I expect a refund from you as soon as possible.
By the way, one night in a 4 star hotel with cold water... I informed reception the same morning "ah yes it happens, it's a problem we've had since the summer last"... is it worthy of a 4 star? Do you plan to solve it one day?
Fortunately, Patrick, the staff in charge of breakfast, was most efficient, competent and pleasant. This star (since you cannot put zero) is for him only.
UPDATE: TO THOSE FOR WHOM THE SAME THING HAPPENED, CHECK WITH BOOKING CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY DEMANDED A REFUND FROM THE HOTEL 😁

So what can I say, this restaurant should be avoided as quickly as possible. The staff does not understand a single word that is said to them. I went there 8 times this month out of 8 orders, only 1 was done well. The other 7 were total rubbish. We went to 8 this afternoon on 03-18-2024 at 11:45 a.m., I arrived with no other apartments for us, 40 minutes to serve 1 meal with out of 8 orders 8 errors... I made my pancake again because I don't I didn't want fries and p.s. all the raw vegetables. I told him 3 times no fries and he still came back with them. Does not speak or understand a single word of French. Lost staff for only 4 people.... Flee this restaurant ah and uncooked kebab chicken with a stale taste in it.
