15/09/2024: A little advice before going there: if something goes wrong in the service, don't tell a member of staff, otherwise you risk being chased out of the restaurant by the manager!
Reservation at 7:30 p.m. for 6 people. We waited 15 minutes for the appetizer order to be taken.
The wine arrives, it’s not the one we ordered. We taste it anyway, to be nice, and we stick with this bottle.
Two dishes arrive. Then two more. 5 minutes later, the fifth. The first ones are starting to cool down…
12 minutes pass (fortunately we took a photo when we received the first dishes to verify this information), still no sixth dish. The others are really starting to cool down.
We decide to go and ask if it is possible to have the last dish ordered. With all kindness of course, but it is normal that we start to get impatient. To which we are told “what does the gentleman want”. Our response: “let’s all eat together.” With a price tag of €220, this seems quite logical.
The dish arrives. The very friendly waiter apologizes.
Meanwhile, the next table asks for napkins. We bring them two small napkins and tell them: “I only have that left, otherwise it’s toilet paper.” A little limited.
We still have a good evening, we decide to recommend wine (the first requested), desserts and coffees.
The wine is still not good, I am told “it’s the same”. At this point, I'll take it anyway.
The time to pay comes. The manager welcomes us at the bar by saying “I’m not asking you if it went well”, that sets the tone for what’s to come. We told him, very calmly, that several things had indeed gone wrong. The manager's response: "yes, well, seeing how you set me on fire earlier, I'm not going to offer you anything." Apparently his ego must have taken a hit. It must perhaps seem normal to him that we wait 15 minutes for a dish while the others are served.
We explain to him about the wine. She tells us that they don't have the one we originally requested. Madam, it's on your card... then she realized it and replied "ah yes well we don't have any more". Oh. Maybe change the menu or brief your servers so that they can notify us!?
The manager apparently does not accept feedback on her service, and begins to ask us (this time I will not speak of kindness) to leave her restaurant. She even comes out from behind her counter to chase us away. Apparently, questioning is not part of his vocabulary.
A friend of hers who was leaning against the bar the whole time starts to get involved and ends up calling one of us stupid. You have the rest. Is this normal? I point out that he was not part of the restaurant, but that doesn't make the experience any better.
We go out, the waiter very kindly takes us back. We explain ourselves to him, we discuss, when the manager returns to chase us from her terrace, sweeping us away with her hand as if we were pigeons.
I wish good luck to the waiter, to which the manager replies “yeah good luck to you yeah”. We will see the distribution part again later.
Brief. Moments of rush, errors in service, forgetfulness, it happens. Behavior from a manager like that, no.
Thank you to the servers for their kindness, their smile, and for being able to apologize. Good luck to them.
It’s a shame, Les Chardons was our favorite place before the change of ownership.
15/09/2024: A real disaster since the change of ownership, the dishes are of lower quality than before and the manager is odious…. I advise against it from now on. I went there with my father Saturday evening and we are going to spread the word around us

14/08/2024: de la folie comme son nom tres bien joli cadre bonne equipe a tous mais merci valerio tout est tres bon de l entree au dessert et aussi les plateaux de fruits de mer
12/06/2024: Quelle déception !! Quel dommage d’avoir un cadre aussi magnifique et de ne pas entretenir cette piscine qui donne ce petit truc en plus au restaurant qui fait qu’on a envie de s’y poser mais pour le moment ce sont les mouettes qui s’y posent 🥴.
Le service , attente beaucoup trop longue, 20 minutes ne ce serait que pour avoir la carte, plus d’1 heure avant d’avoir l’entrée . Les clients à côté à notre arrivée venaient de nous souhaiter bon courage, j’espère que vous n’avait pas trop faim !
10 mn après avoir commandé on vient nous annoncer que finalement l’entrée n’est plus disponible, ok vous nous proposez quoi comme alternative ??? Rien y a pas de plan B ! C’était un menu entrée, plat ou plat, dessert … Du coup, il a fallu choisir un dessert ! ! C’est très commercial 🤔.
Les plats comment dire … morceaux de bœuf carbonisés, la choucroute de la mer, fade, gros doute sur la fraîcheur des poissons, plat réchauffée ++ et pourtant une arrivée à 13h30 …
Le dessert, beh dessert de cantine ( la bonne grosse part de tiramisu , bien bien pâteuse sans dressage.
Le seul point positif et merci à lui c’est le serveur « Nolan de souvenir » qui a été très agréable, souriant très professionnel !
