03/11/2025: We had a wonderful 3-day stay in a magnificent house dating back to 1887, renovated by the owners themselves. They paid particular attention to the furnishings. Breakfast was very generous, with bread, butter, homemade jams, cold cuts, cheese, homemade yogurt, and fruit! We were warmly welcomed by Gaëlle and Thierry, with whom we enjoyed pleasant conversations. We shared a meal with the owners. They gave us excellent advice for exploring the region: Mirepoix, a pretty medieval village; the Gaulish village of Rieux-Volvestre; the cassoulet to try in Villefranche-de-Lauragais; and the walk along the Canal du Midi.
