Le Grand Bleu
Calais
26/09/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! This restaurant boasts magnificent cuisine, truly exceptional, worthy of a gourmet establishment. The service is top-notch, and the staff are incredibly pleasant and kind. We even brought our dog, who was very welcome. I recommend it 1000 percent! We're from Belgium, and we'll definitely be back when we're next in Calais. You can go there without hesitation.
19/09/2026: A great experience at Le Grand Bleu. My father thoroughly enjoyed his Toques d'Opale menu. Excellent from start to finish, which I highly recommend over the Plaisir menu I chose; it's a bit more traditional, but I still ate very well. Pleasant setting. Friendly staff.

L'Hovercraft
Calais, 30-45€
17/09/2026: Hello,
This isn't the first or last time I'll come here with my wife to enjoy one of the many Welsh dishes. The service is quick, the food delicious and served promptly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to the Hovercraft team.
See you soon :-)
16/09/2026: The service was fantastic. The waiter was exceptionally polite and helpful, as was the waitress. They explained the entire menu and recommended what to eat and drink. It's a wonderful place, worth visiting and sitting down for a meal and a drink.

Burger King
Calais
05/08/2026: My wife went through the drive-thru today.
We sat down to eat,
The sandwich from the menu was missing.
We tried calling repeatedly, but there was no answer.
SHAMEFUL! SHAMEFUL!
Working in Calais, I will come to your restaurant tomorrow to get the sandwich I paid for but didn't receive.
I also hope for some kind of compensation, the least you could do.
I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

05/08/2026: Today, we waited an hour for our order (thankfully several people decided to cancel theirs). We ordered at 8:50 PM and were served at our table at 9:50 PM... However, Uber Eats and drive-thru orders were given priority and received no wait. People who arrived much later received their orders before us—a major organizational problem. Furthermore, the free gift included with the children's meal didn't even match the Paw Patrol ad; we were told we hadn't received it.
Our table wasn't cleaned. The manager was nowhere to be seen, and there was no attempt at compensation. Avoid at all costs!

27/09/2026: Had a weekend in Calais with my family, came here for breakfast. And I can say hand on heart that every single thing we had was amazing. Panini's a burger and a cake all exceptionally good. If we end up in Calais again sometime we will be back here for any meal of the day.
15/07/2026: Very friendly and welcoming service and a lovely café to linger in - thank you for the wonderful experience!

Pic Pouce
Calais
25/09/2026: A sure bet! The hamburgers are delicious. The staff are very welcoming and helpful! We gladly return. The only downside for me, who enjoys dessert at the end of my meal, is that every time I go, they're sold out 😜
04/09/2026: I highly recommend it; good value for money, fast service. The homemade burger is a real treat.

Le Bounty
Calais
26/07/2026: Delicious! Fresh, high-quality products and attentive service.
26/07/2026: I've been several times since the change of ownership, and it's always the same story: an interminable wait. Be prepared to wait to be served; you have to wait until they finish their drinks or cigarettes. They're overwhelmed with very little, and there's always a wait, even to pay. The waitress told us to complain to the owners because she's fed up with the customers' frustration. Opening a bar isn't primarily about having fun, but a Saturday night with events happening right outside their terrace deserved a bit more effort from them. All the tables next to us were complaining, and meanwhile, the owners were off getting peanuts for themselves. I won't be back. 20 minutes to pay was the last straw.
