14/12/2025: We went there last weekend and what a pleasant surprise! The service was attentive, the food delicious, and the prices very reasonable. We have absolutely no complaints, except to say thank you for a wonderful time.

06/04/2026: The second time I ate yesterday, I brought my friend, because I was bragging that you serve well and the food is delicious, what happened was that I was very disappointed because our order was the grilled seafoods but the shrimps already had a smell, they weren't fresh and secondly, the bread was even worse, it was so hard it couldn't be eaten, like a rock. We asked your waiter to crush it and he couldn't crush it so we didn't enjoy the 160€ we paid 😞

05/04/2026: We often write reviews, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. At first glance, Chez Freddy in Nice Old Town looks very promising. It’s located in a prime area, constantly busy, with a strong flow of people — which gives the impression of quality and popularity. Unfortunately, this is very misleading. The service is extremely disorganized. The staff seemed lost and uncoordinated. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like drinks, cutlery, and even plates. Nothing arrived without insisting, and there was no sense of attention or professionalism. The food, which should be the highlight — especially for a place claiming seafood specialties — was simply not good. We ordered the moules frites (plat du jour), expecting a classic done well. It was a complete disaster. The mussels were poorly prepared and lacked any real flavor. We also ordered a pasta, which was shockingly bad — honestly worse than something you would casually make at home without much effort. Completely unacceptable for a restaurant in such a prime location. What keeps this place full is clearly not quality, but its location and the illusion created by the crowd. People see it busy and assume it must be good — exactly what happened to us. The owner appears very active, constantly moving things around and trying to attract more customers, but that energy does not translate into service or food quality. This is a well-known place, but based on our experience, it does not deserve its reputation. If it were possible, this would be a half-star review. Overall: excellent location, very poor execution. We would not recommend this place

28/03/2026: A family-run restaurant with good meat and a nice variety of dishes to suit almost every taste. The only slight drawback is that it's quite noisy. I was pleasantly surprised after a problem with a loyalty offer that didn't work on the app; I reported it to the restaurant, and they resolved the issue efficiently.

26/03/2026: In this restaurant, I found a rat in my burger. And there's a waiter who's barely 1.90 meters tall, and he comes to take my order. I politely ask him to take my order, he just nods, I wait 10 minutes, and he's still not here.

18/03/2026: Homemade food. Very generous portions and a very affordable price.

07/03/2026: Excellent place. We went twice. The owner was very friendly to us and our two children. The food was very good. The pizzas have a thin crust and the meat comes from a local butcher, so the hot stone grill was delicious. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

29/03/2026: Excellent restaurant right on the slopes. Great daily special: main course and dessert for €22.50, and well-prepared. Friendly service.

24/03/2026: Hello I'm writing a review, which isn't my usual practice, to share my experience. The food was very good and plentiful, BUT the service needs improvement. I called on Wednesday for a 7:30 pm reservation. Once I said 7:30 pm, I was told I had to leave at 9:10 pm for the second seating. I asked if I could call back within 5-10 minutes to confirm the time, as we were a group of 8. They said yes. I called back to say 9:15 pm, and they said okay. On Saturday, we arrived at 9:15 pm. The manager had the nerve to tell me the reservation was for 7:30 pm. I told him I had called back, and he said no. I never spoke to him directly; it was a woman. He even had the nerve to tell me, "Luckily, we're no longer in peak season, there's space available." Making remarks when they're the ones at fault due to a lack of communication between them is pointless. Being nonchalant when you're a restaurant owner is unacceptable. Furthermore, when it came time to pay the bill (since we were four couples, we split it four ways), they forced us to round up even though we didn't want to. It's a small detail, but when we're treated as if we were in the wrong when it's you who are, forcing us to round up for a tip is unacceptable. (I have a photo as proof, which I sent back since, according to them, I didn't.) Avoid this place; there are other restaurants in Isola 2000 with equally good food and a much better welcome.

01/02/2026: A truly unique restaurant... the entire interior is exquisitely decorated... you're transported back in time... a real feast for the eyes... and the food is plentiful and delicious... I highly recommend the croque monsieur, among other things; the pizzas are generous and well-topped... the welcome and service are excellent... I highly recommend this place

03/01/2026: I was very disappointed by this restaurant, which I know very well. I ordered lasagna, but there was no lasagna. I changed to mussels, but there were no mussels either! Finally, I ended up with a mediocre pizza, and my companion had pasta carbonara, which was carbonara in name only. I won't even mention the service. As a customer for three decades, I'll be going elsewhere.
