17/03/2026: I went there with my two children. After a long wait, I asked for my order to be taken, and the waiter replied, "It's busy, ma'am," even though a couple with a child who arrived after me were served before me because I think they were part of the staff. Furthermore, we didn't get any salad or bread. However, the bill at the end of the meal was very quick! Quicker than taking my order. First and last time at your Buffalo Grill!
When I asked to get the leftovers from my plates, I was told, "I wouldn't recommend the fries..." but actually, I was taking them to avoid throwing them away, since my dog would eat them anyway.

08/04/2025: Great discovery, it's been a long time since I've eaten such good meat with top-notch, smiling waitresses, it's a shame the place will close its doors.
30/01/2025: This old Lille institution pubstore is a true journey through time, as much for its decor as for the music and the puns used to name the dishes (I love it)!!!
The food is delicious, made with fresh, quality produce; we had a blast 😋.
The only downside was the particularly unpleasant waitress, who seemed annoyed to be serving our group on a weekday evening when the restaurant was almost empty...
She made a mistake on the bill and angrily demanded: "We'll have to pay the difference!"
It's perfectly normal, but there are ways to express it, especially when the mistake was hers...
I still recommend the establishment, but the service is part of the package, so be careful 😉

15/03/2026: My experience at Hippopotamus Lille met all my expectations: simple, quick, and efficient. Ideal for a meal where you don't want to waste time without sacrificing quality. The service is well-oiled and the welcome is pleasant. I recommend it for a lunch break or dinner without any unpleasant surprises.

13/11/2023: Friendly brasserie with a menu for everyday life in a friendly setting.
23/07/2023: The dishes were okay, nothing more. The service was very mediocre... In short it wasn't great, just OK.
Especially since I had the impression of being considered a “money pumping machine”. I didn't feel that human side that there is usually with other restaurants.
For my part it wasn't the best experience, I don't necessarily recommend it.
