05/08/2026: We used to come here for the tarte flambée, which was considered one of the best around Strasbourg. However, success can lead to a decline in the quality of the tarte flambée, with a centimeter of burnt and soggy crust, a drop in the quality of service, and an unbearable noise. And to top it all off, the owner's response when we asked for the bill, as it was impossible for us to stay any longer in that atmosphere, was simply that we should have come earlier, without a word of empathy, apology, or thanks. We won't be back, and I advise against it. The success of tarte flambée doesn't guarantee success. Respect for customers is the bare minimum if you want to stay in business...

02/09/2026: We ate on the terrace, which is genuinely beautiful, and the food is decent, traditional Alsatian cooking. The salad was good, the tarte flambée was good. That’s what makes the rest so disappointing. Service was the problem from start to finish. We waited a very long time, and when the food finally came, the starter arrived at the same time as the mains. Nobody came back to ask if we wanted more drinks at any point during the meal. I asked for more house potatoes. They arrived 10 to 12 minutes later, at which point I said it was too late, we were finished. The waiter told me flatly that they make them “à la minute” and that I had only ordered them five minutes earlier. That wasn’t true. When I pushed back, he told me he is a waiter, not a slave. I was there with my children. Speaking to a customer that way in front of them is not acceptable, whatever the pressure in the dining room. We skipped dessert and left. A real shame. The terrace is lovely, the atmosphere is lovely, and the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing. The service on the floor undid all of it in one evening.

15/08/2026: A wonderful time was had celebrating our son's christening. The Meyer family and their team always take excellent care of their guests. The rib-eye steaks cooked on the brazier were superb, and the famous Evele sundae was a hit with everyone! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you again for everything, and we'll definitely be back soon.
