15/09/2024: We ask if possible to eat together with a dog on the terrace, answer: no we are full. Passage in front of this same establishment 1 hour later, 3 tables taken on the terrace, really full..! It would have been easier to say no for the dog instead of lying

10/09/2024: Wir sind hier gegen 14:00 Uhr für ein spätes Mittagessen eingekehrt und warteten erst einmal 15 Minuten vor dem Restaurant, bis das unmotivierte Service-Personal endlich einen Tisch freiräumte. Im Schneckentempo ging es dann weiter. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Dann hiess es nochmals eine Stunde (!) auf das Essen warten. Natürlich nicht ohne dass wir zuvor nochmals danach fragen mussten, weil die Bestellung höchstwahrscheinlich vergessen ging. Als Dank kassierten wir von den völlig untalentierten jungen Damen im Service einen vernichtenden Blick und grosses Augenrollen. Mies war auch das Essen. Das Clubsandwich war kaum mehr als ein Haufen Toastbrot mit einer Speckscheibe darauf. Einzig die Austern waren - Gott sei Dank - geniessbar. Beim Bezahlen warteten wir gar nicht erst auf den Service, sondern eilten selber zur Kasse und dann schnellstmöglich hinaus. Nie wieder!

14/08/2024: Staff not that helpful, for what ever reason didn’t want to take our order for at least 5mins, even though we tried. No chance of a friendly face, was like we were making them work. Fish and chips ok, not great, seems locals get better treated, larger portions and even a basket of bread. Hey ho lesson learnt .

09/08/2024: I canceled my reservation for 5 people! First contact by telephone where I was asked to wait a moment.. I stayed 10 minutes waiting for the handset on the counter!! where I was able to clearly hear the employees' discussions (I would do without details) I decide to hang up and call back I leave a message asking to be called back (I was never called back) I decide to book via Booking, I call back early in the morning to ask if it is possible to have the two rooms side by side, I am told it will not be possible then they hang up, I call back immediately there is no answer after 3 times it picks up and hangs up!! I find this rude and lacking in interpersonal skills!! So I left a message explaining why I am canceling my reservation for 5 people You may not need customers given the period and the 80 years since the landing, but the least you can do is be polite and professional!

05/09/2024: Not recommended. Service slow and unfriendly. Creams ordered were no longer made. Also have fries and that in the middle of lunch time. I agree with the existing 1 and 2 star reviews. Read this carefully and you will have a good average for the store.

21/07/2024: While passing through, we really wanted mussels: the staff were welcoming and very friendly, and the mussels and fries were very good! Satisfied and sure to come back on my next visit 🥰

22/09/2024: This looked busy when we arrived in town around 13:00 so we went to the museum first then returned around 15:00. Only 2 other tables occupied at this time so we sat down straight away. Service was very friendly and quick. ordered fillet steak and beuf bourgignon and both were delicious - freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Great value, friendly service and lovely food - will definitely eat here again.

19/09/2024: Owner as nothing to do with the clientele strongly advises against it. The navy a little more expensive but so good and adorable personal don't hesitate

28/09/2024: Very warm welcome, kind. Certainly, the rolls are not exceptional but you can smell the butter and the homemade, and it's really good. Takeaway coffee and chocolate Viennese are also good. The only open bakery in Arromanches, the bad reviews are currently not justified in my opinion.

25/09/2024: For the Arromanche bakery alone it is shameful, opinion of a former baker. Unpleasant waitress when arriving, products not appealing, pastries a horror. You will have to think about changing pastry bakers.

02/09/2024: Old hotel in a good location but lack of parking space (neighborhood parking costs 22 euros per day)
