04/12/2025: I was really disappointed by this restaurant. Given the Google reviews, I was expecting a fantastic meal! The food was bland and the portions were tiny for the price. The Indian wine we ordered arrived opened, which is illegal in France. The staff was mediocre; I ordered lamb and they served me chicken! Avoid this place.

07/03/2026: I strongly advise against staying at this establishment. Don't be fooled by the photos or overly positive reviews: the rooms are outdated, very damp, and have a persistent unpleasant odor. Soundproofing is practically nonexistent, and the noise is constant, making for a very unrelenting stay. As for breakfast, it's very basic and disappointing: no scrambled eggs or bacon, only overcooked eggs, ham, and pre-packaged Gruyère cheese. The pastries seem mass-produced, and the brioche is really poor quality. I do not recommend this hotel. I have the feeling it's only successful because there are few alternatives in the area. EDIT: Hello, I confirm that my review does indeed refer to your establishment. I made no mistake about the hotel where I stayed. Before assuming there's been a misunderstanding, I suggest you check the actual condition of some of the rooms. The comments I made simply reflect what I observed during my stay. 18/02/2026: We made a reservation for two people on Valentine's Day. From the moment we arrived, we felt a chill (we are a same-sex couple). The owner's expression changed. We arrived early, but our table was available. We waited an hour. No one came to take our order. I had to stop the waitress, who told me she would be right back… It's strange because she served other people who arrived much later than us, and they were already served. I asked if I could have the appetizer platter with my main course because I didn't like what was on the menu. We hadn't been informed that there was only the Valentine's Day menu that evening. I didn't mind paying more, but the waitress told me it was impossible, even though I don't see the problem, especially if I'm paying for the set menu (main course, dessert) and the appetizer platter on top of that. The €15 appetizer platter for two people? Excuse me, but it's definitely not for two people; it's far too expensive. On the other hand, the rest of the meal was good. Not exceptional, but it was good. The veal was good, even if the flavor was somewhat overpowering because of the sauce. Throughout the evening, we were subjected to inappropriate looks from the owner. He kept checking on all the tables, asking if everything was alright, except ours, oddly enough… The next day, when he saw we had finished our meal, he came over to our table and went straight to the table behind us to clear their plates, even though we had finished too… He was completely disorganized in this area. Many people complained about both the food and the service. Paying €115 for two people for the meager portion and poor quality was really not worth it. To react like this in 2026, just because we like someone who doesn't conform to societal norms, is truly shameful, especially coming from a manager. We wanted to have a nice evening over a good meal, but unfortunately, it didn't go very well. This was the second time we've experienced the same thing. Same problem. We wanted to try again, but this was the last straw. I won't be returning to this restaurant. Thank you to the waitress (with tattoos) for being so smiling and kind.

20/02/2026: The owner and the newly hired waitress gave us a very warm welcome. The service was quick and the daily special was perfect. I'll know where to go to satisfy my hunger next time I'm in Vire.
