26/11/2025: We came to Oleron for three nights at the end of November and stayed at the Auberge de la Marie Galante in Sauzelle. Our room was recently renovated with a seaside theme. The breakfast was very good. We're not family or close friends, but I highly recommend it. The owners are welcoming and kind. We'll definitely be back.
26/10/2025: Warm welcome from Stéphanie and Benoît, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel with family values where we were well advised for our weekend visits. Perfect meals and breakfast with always an intention for our well-being. Quiet place to relax. It is a hotel to discover with your eyes closed, you feel good there. Franck and Viviane

24/09/2024: Nous nous sommes régalés au déjeuner avec des produits bien frais et savoureux. Nous recommandons vraiment cet endroit ! Équipe agréable et attentionnée.
24/09/2024: Un endroit très bien situé à proximité du port du Douhet. Facilité de stationnement grâce un grand parking juste devant.
Le cadre est agréable et on ressent tout de suite une ambiance conviviale . Une équipe très sympa vous accueille avec comme chef d orchestre le patron SEB, qui des le premier contact vous met à l aise. Les produits frais de qualité ,copieux et très bien cuisinés vous sont servis rapidement .
Pour conclure un endroit à découvrir pour les gens qui veulent passer un agréable moment .

19/01/2026: Great restaurant, we had a wonderful meal. The dishes were fresh and excellent. We had a lovely evening, and there was a music quiz, which was great fun 👍. We'll definitely be back. The service was also fantastic. We were supposed to eat at the counter, but we ended up eating at a table, which was very kind of them to move us to a different table; we really appreciated it. We highly recommend it and will be back. Thanks again.
10/11/2025: A table of nine was completely forgotten, not a word to make us wait. Thirty minutes later, the waiter arrived with a falsely casual, almost saccharine tone, like, "Relax, it's the weekend, you have time..." It's winter, the sun sets early, and the children are screaming with hunger, but relax.
The food is good, but the fries are very limited. Well, it depends on who's being served. Friends get a very generous portion.
As a bonus, a few snide remarks from the waiter.
In short, if you're friends with the staff, it's an excellent place. Otherwise, you'll only go once... and leave late and irritated. Fortunately, the island isn't all about this kind of pretentious staff.

27/11/2025: The chef welcoming you by opening the door is a rare treat. A small fire whets the appetite, and from appetizer to dessert, everything was perfect, as were the Oléron wines to accompany it.
I highly recommend this establishment, with its owner's smile and kindness.
06/11/2025: I discovered this restaurant thanks to a recommendation from my hotel in Cheray.
The seafood was very fresh and well-prepared. The welcome and service were very pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend it! 🌺💚

The manager is super friendly. The service is attentive and friendly. The food and drinks are excellent.
21/08/2025: Good evening, I'm not used to leaving a review that is positive or negative, but this is nonsense for the bar, a terrace there you wait for the server but no he doesn't come you have to guess that you have to go and get the drinks menu to place your order at the bar, a menu where there is a choice but when you order what you want you are told there are no more! so if there are no more on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday where it is the menu from last year or you have to cross off the drinks that are no longer served, finally I am not a bar manager but it seems to me that it would be better

08/09/2025: It was supposed to be open last night, but everything was closed unfortunately.
23/08/2025: A small, unassuming restaurant, but well worth the detour.
The service is excellent and the food is delicious.
The staff is simply adorable.
We are of Caribbean and Réunion Island descent, and we loved the cod fritters and the sausage rougail. Our compliments to the chef!
If you're passing through, don't hesitate to come by.

A nice bonus: the restrooms were spotless.
We'd like to thank our waitress Eva, who was very pleasant, smiling, and had a great sense of humor.

09/08/2024: Je me rend compte aujourd’hui que cela fait 8 ans exactement que mon dernier avis et passage arrivèrent 🙂
Très bien accueilli un midi à 3 dont un enfant de 2 ans ( chaise haute confortable dispo ) et ventilo à proximité ( merci messieurs )

Menu bon rapport qualité prix ( fruits de mer et seiche persillade : rien à redire )
Carte boisson simple / très accessible

30/07/2024: Service laisse a désirer les plats servis avant l apéritif, on nous a porté la note avant d avoir le dessert, lorsque je fais cette remarque gentiment je me fais rembarrer me disant qu'ils sont débordés que ça arrive chose que je comprends parfaitement sauf que j attendais juste des excuses et non me faire presque agresser.

Not even mussels and fries on the menu? except Monday, unlimited mussels and fries but with low quality frozen fries....
Nut waffle or rather disgusting waffle Nut....too much spread.
Only 1 place to cash out? his cork...
We've been coming, or coming for 10 years.... the time for seafood festivals with tuna carpacio is over.... we feel like we're at the buff restaurant....!
the waiters and waitresses do what they can: thank you to them... and I will talk about the snack side which is declining in quality...
A few days before, we had been much better served with the roasted Camembert: a delight...
the prices are correct or low. (nice fresh fried plate €4 while frozen snack €5 poor quality and quantity)

20/08/2024: I confirm the reviews. Poor value for money and quality. Charcuterie board for just €19 for 1 person, and the salad wasn't fresh. I don't recommend it, and I won't be back.
18/08/2024: It's unacceptable to sell a charcuterie board for €20 for 4 people with 4 slices of rosette cheese and 4 pieces of cheese. However, the salad was served on the charcuterie board, and it wasn't edible!!!!!
The Virgin Mojito has no taste!
Very disappointed with this visit to this place!
