Les meilleurs restaurants en Saint-Georges-D'Oleron

10/08/2026: Really expensive for what we ate! One plate for two with five whelks, five shrimp, and one langoustine, then two plates of fish with one potato; two glasses of wine and two desserts... and all that for over 110 euros! The presentation was utterly ordinary, the service courteous, and that's it... even at 80 euros it would have seemed expensive! We had much better for the same price at a restaurant along the road between Boyardville and Les Allards...

05/08/2026: We are regulars at this restaurant and we happily return every year. Unfortunately, this time we left with a major disappointment. The food is still excellent. A big thank you to the chef who, year after year, surprises us with the quality of his dishes. It is undoubtedly the strong point of this establishment. However, the service severely marred our evening. The young waitress who looked after us was very pleasant, smiling, and helpful. Conversely, the older waitress who worked the Wednesday evening service on August 5th was particularly unpleasant, unfriendly, and clearly not very appreciative of children. Her cold and sour attitude completely ruined our experience. This is all the more regrettable given that this restaurant is positioned in a price range above average. At this price point, one has the right to expect a warm welcome and impeccable service. Professionalism and customer service should match the quality of the food. What a shame for an establishment located in such a touristy area. We left with a bitter taste in our mouths, because despite the consistently excellent food, this waitress's attitude unfortunately discourages us from returning.

25/08/2026: Delicious breakfast, thank you to the chef. The prices are reasonable. The service by the seasonal staff is very pleasant, and everyone is smiling. However, the owner is very difficult with his employees… The condition of the machines leaves much to be desired; beware of limescale in the coffee…

25/08/2026: A well-located restaurant offering quality cuisine. The atmosphere and service would be perfect if the owner were less aggressive towards the staff in front of customers (shouting, verbal abuse, etc.). Overall hygiene is good, apart from a few minor issues (poorly washed cups, food scraps in our dish, poorly cleaned equipment, etc.).

12/07/2026: Extremely disappointed with the reception; an interminable wait despite their unfailing kindness. We felt like we were in the way; no one came to see us, and they just left us waiting…

12/07/2026: For our holiday on the island, we came to Boyardville and discovered this bistro. I don't understand the bad reviews? We ate very well and the prices were very reasonable. We weren't disappointed with the children's or adults' menus, and we went back for ice cream too – perfect! I highly recommend this bistro/restaurant.

17/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant! 🍕 A great team and a really friendly atmosphere. A huge thank you to the owner, Doudou, who is amazing and always so welcoming! I also want to thank the chef, Denis, who kindly agreed to serve us pizzas at 3:30 pm, even though service normally starts at 6 pm. Honestly, a truly appreciated gesture! 🙏 The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend it!

15/08/2026: Even though I haven't been to this particular establishment yet, I can confidently give it 5 stars. I worked alongside Doudou and his team at another campsite for three years. I have more than just fond memories. He was an exceptional person, like a brother to me. His kindness knows no bounds. The service is truly Senegalese, evoking the feeling of holidays and sunshine. 21/08/2026: We reserved pizzas for 8:20 pm but were only served at 8:40 pm even though we had made the reservation an hour earlier!!! It was not specified on the menu that the dough was curry-flavored, and knowing that I am allergic to curry, it is unacceptable not to mention this.

20/08/2026: A few tables where you can enjoy a delicious, generously topped pizza. You can also order takeout. The welcome is warm and the service is quick, depending on the time of day. The water is nice and cold, the tables are attractive, and there's even a pizza vending machine outside.

28/07/2026: The square pizzas were very average in taste, quantity, and topping quality. A minor disappointment: I found string in my dough... I called the restaurant, and they kindly replied, "Sorry, I'll mention it to the chef..." LOL. Not to mention the tension between the person taking the order and the pizza maker—great atmosphere...

27/07/2026: Very poor value for money! Very expensive for what's offered! And very little consideration given to feedback (or even total ignoring); sometimes a simple "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" is enough to feel heard.
