04/11/2025: Don't leave Moncontour without eating at Le Chaudron Magique (The Magic Cauldron), which is exactly what we did today.
The welcome is warm, and the dining room truly transports you to the Middle Ages!
The menu is beautiful and very inventive. The vegetarian menu is a proper menu, and quite appealing. I'll have to come back and try it...
The service is quick. Let's talk about our dishes: everything is fresh and seasonal!
I had gravlax salmon with a well-seasoned mixed salad. It was delicious.
The fish, hake I think, came with a delicious beurre blanc sauce and seasonal vegetables. The portion was very generous. To finish, I had a homemade crème caramel, which was perfect!
What a wonderful discovery!

01/09/2024: Virginie and her team welcomed us yesterday for our "cousinade day", a very successful day of reunion thanks to a very warm welcome, perfect attentive service and quality cuisine with good value for money.
Virginie was able to adapt to meet our expectations and manage our group of around twenty people perfectly.
We loved it and recommend +++
