Restaurant Le Jarrousset

08/07/2026: Le Jarrousset in Virargues is a well-established institution in the Cantal region, its reputation preceding no doubt.
Chef Jérôme Cazanave takes exceptional care of his guests.
The welcome is warm and the service impeccable.
The cuisine is inspired and captivates with its refinement. Local produce is given pride of place, right down to the locally sourced tableware.
The wine cellar is truly exceptional. The 700 or so labels are well worth exploring, perhaps even several times.
Without hesitation or reservation, Le Jarrousset lives up to its excellent reputation.
Very good value for money.
Highly recommended.

20/07/2026: We came here for our first vacation meal in Rouen. After a long day traveling it was great to relax in comfort with some amazing dishes. Of course we ordered too much. No starter needed if you go either the meze to share. Our son enjoyed his kebabs. Beer was great and we all left full and ready for the Spain-Argentina World Cup final.
06/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, tasty and varied dishes. Very friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

07/06/2026: Best burger and fries ever. A ribeye steak to share, a good glass of wine, and a great atmosphere—it has it all. If you're passing through, don't hesitate; the locals already know it's the best place for lunch or takeaway. They're lovely.

13/07/2024: Nous nous sommes régalé ! Notre table de 7 avec des plats à 15€ en moyenne et tout maison !!! Même les frites. Excellent fish en chips de qualité. La viande également.

25/08/2025: The best frogs in Dombes! (and I've been to restaurants in Dombes...) Followed by a perfectly mastered Bresse poultry with cream (accompanied by real Vonassien crepes). And even the red fruit Pavlova (also homemade) was perfect. Faultless. Only good products perfectly cooked. It's becoming rare!... All served by the charming owner. Run there!!!

22/12/2023: The storefront doesn't look much, the interior is shabby but the quality and price of the products are worth the cost!
5€ the TACOS menu, with an excellent TACOS and a good size 🫶🏻
