31/03/2024: For my part, the food at the Auberge de Sandarville was really delicious, however the welcome, the service and the cleanliness of the place left something to be desired, giving the impression that the place was in decline, with the exception of its appearance. gastronomic. The prices are reasonable for the food but for the aperitifs they are unadvertised and overpriced. Asking for a carafe of water 3 times also seems excessive to me. Unfortunately, our experience was punctuated by various unpleasant incidents. As soon as we sat down at the table, we were surprised by the presence of a dead spider, which was not really the kind of guest we were expecting. Additionally, the towel had several lipstick marks, which left something to be desired in terms of cleanliness. To top it off, the appetizers were already present on the table and appeared to have been there since long before our arrival, which did not reflect particular attention to the freshness of the products. It is regrettable to note that these details tainted our dining experience. It seems the owner of the hostel should seriously consider retiring, she is just like her unfriendly and unsmiling staff. Despite these inconveniences, our many adventures still gave us a good time of laughter, even to the point of tears. A memorable experience, but with a hint of adventure!
