01/02/2026: ⭐ 1 star (by necessity) – Very disappointing, we won't be back First time eating at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be the last. We came on Sunday, February 1st, with family and friends for the charcuterie, and the experience was overall very disappointing. The black pudding soup was okay (a little too salty), but the rest of the meal didn't live up to expectations: the head cheese, terrine, and liver sausage were rather bland, the presentation and seasoning were very basic, giving the overall impression of a school cafeteria meal. The black pudding was served in a small portion, accompanied by a white sausage that lacked flavor. The side dishes (baked apple/onions) weren't very tasty. The Alsatian palate cleanser resembled a commercially produced sorbet. The sauerkraut was literally cooked raw, without rinsing. It was so acidic that with every bite we closed our eyes… not to avoid seeing, but because it was so acidic that even Archele didn't know where to look! At that moment, you could have heard a pin drop in the restaurant. Everyone looked at each other! Some of the meat wasn't cooked enough, and several plates arrived lukewarm, or even cold. We also noticed dissatisfaction around us, with several customers making comments during the service. The dessert didn't redeem the meal: very standard taste, mass-produced. At the checkout: no discount, no apology, nothing. On top of that, on Facebook, the photos advertise "themed meals every Sunday" for €30… In the end, surprise: €37. The cashier's explanation? "It's because there were five different kinds of meat in the sauerkraut." €37 for such a terrible meal... For two people, we spent almost €100. And when I complained, a young, unfriendly waitress said, "No, it's €37." I'd like to remind everyone that Article L.211-1 of the French Consumer Code stipulates that if there's a difference between the price displayed and the price at the register, the consumer can demand to pay the lower price displayed, unless there was a clear error. In this case, it wasn't a clear error; it was simply an unpleasant surprise. I'm not sorry for what I'm saying because it's 100% true. I hope that a large majority of those who have been to this dump will follow suit in their reviews, because talking to our neighbors at the next table, everyone was disgusted. In short: poor value for money, and an experience too disappointing for us to return.
