The pizzas are truly excellent: generous, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The dough is perfect, the ingredients are high-quality, and every bite is a real treat. Not to mention the other dishes. But beyond the pizzas and other dishes, it's also the warm welcome and the team—Mireille, Maeva, Aurélie, and Jeremy—that make it special. 26/08/2026: Honestly, an exceptional experience at Le Péron in Marseille! The setting is magnificent, but above all, the view is absolutely incredible. Facing the sea, with this panoramic view of Marseille, it's truly the kind of place where you take the time to relax and admire the scenery. 🌊☀️ The service is very pleasant, the atmosphere is fantastic, and everything is there for a wonderful time. Honestly, it even deserves a star, the experience is so perfect! A place I wholeheartedly recommend. And that view… it's hard to beat in Marseille! 😍

We arrived on the evening of the riots, were given a table without a reservation, and I had the best meal: an appetizer, lamb and stuffed cuttlefish, and a divine dessert. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Only the upstairs ceiling height is dangerous for people over 1.80m (5'11").

27/07/2026: We had a lovely stay at Mercure Marseille Centre Bompard La Corniche. The location is excellent, tucked away in a quiet residential neighbourhood that feels more like a charming French guesthouse than a typical city hotel. It’s a beautiful area to wander, with the Corniche and coastline just a short walk away, while the city centre is still easily accessible. The walk back to the hotel is quite steep, so keep that in mind, although an Uber is inexpensive and makes the return trip very easy. The hotel itself was very pleasant, with modern, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. That said, the overall experience didn’t quite feel like a four-star property. The in-room amenities were quite basic, with no separate shampoo or conditioner provided, which was especially noticeable after swimming in the Mediterranean, as the saltwater really leaves your hair needing both. It’s the first hotel I’ve stayed at where these weren’t offered. There was also no iron, slippers or robe, which made the experience feel a little less premium than expected. We also weren’t able to check in before the official 3:00 pm check-in time. That wasn’t an issue in itself, but it was a little confusing given the online pre-registration asks you to select your expected arrival time, including times earlier than 3:00 pm. Overall though, these were relatively minor points, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

05/10/2026: The service is very good. The food quality is top notch. But I think it's over priced. I have eaten in other fish restaurant in Marseille where you get way more for your money. We had bouillabaisse for two and a few glass of wine. The cost 224.00 Euro. For the same price in another restaurant we had amazing fish with very good presentation, I mean the way it was served. I had 6 amazing fresh oysters, great deserts and a few glass of wine for 200.00 Euro. In conclusion if you go to Chez Michel it's mostly for the hype.

28/09/2026: Disappointed with the service on a Monday, my husband and I were refused entry at lunchtime with a firm and curt "no." They looked us up and down, which we found unacceptable, so we moved a little further away. We called to reserve a table for two at lunchtime, and as luck would have it, there was space available. My husband told the waiter he was racist. I do not recommend this establishment. We come from the north and were very disappointed!

24/09/2026: We were rather disappointed with our meal at La Nautique. While the setting is beautiful, the food was very mediocre. The pasta with clams was disappointing: about three out of four clams were empty, and there was a kind of breadcrumb coating on the pasta, making it quite dry. We also ordered beef carpaccio with new potatoes, but fries arrived instead, without any prior notification of the change in sides. We explained the situation to the waiter, and the manager came over to offer us dessert, a gesture we appreciated given the rather poor quality of the meal.

24/09/2026: Dinner for two: Course 1: "Linguine alle Vongole" with about twenty empty clam shells (and no "vongole" in the sauce either, in case they had fallen off!). Where did the empty shells come from? I hope not from another customer's finished plate... Breadcrumbs (!) on the pasta so the sauce is well absorbed and the linguine is nice and dry. Course 2: Carpaccio with capers and parmesan shavings with new potatoes, but no capers or parmesan shavings, and served with fries. When we pointed out that we wanted new potatoes, the response was, "Sorry, tonight it's fries only." Perhaps they should have let us know in advance? In short, nice place, pleasant service, but the food is best avoided.

24/09/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at Les Trois Forts restaurant, located on the rooftop of the Sofitel in Marseille. The view is exceptional and worth the trip alone. But the food and service are equally outstanding, perfectly showcasing local produce with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine. I highly recommend this place for any trip to Marseille to truly experience the city through both its food and its stunning views. Many thanks to the staff, especially our servers.

20/09/2026: We went to Trois Forts to celebrate my birthday and were welcomed by Frédéric and Antony, the two head waiters, who were incredibly warm and friendly. Two very different yet complementary personalities, who greatly contributed to making this a truly wonderful evening. We started with several appetizers to share, followed by whole fish, and then chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything was delicious, accompanied by a fine selection of wines. An excellent evening in a pleasant setting, with a particularly attentive welcome and service. We will gladly return, with friends or family! Thank you!
