11/01/2026: Between Saintes and Cognac, dare to stop by! Perfect cuisine! Delicious and generous foie gras with little touches to discover. We went for the kidneys (cooked to order, pink in the center for me) and the sweetbreads (divine and very generous). And then the revisited Black Forest cake, perfect after this wonderful meal. Not forgetting the perfectly smooth coffee. Bravo and thank you!

17/03/2026: We arrived as a group of about fifty people in early December 2025, hoping to enjoy a pleasant time in a setting that, admittedly, is quite charming. Unfortunately, once seated, the experience took a turn… let’s say, much more instructive than gastronomic. The buffet, in particular, seemed to offer a rather deep dive into the world of standardized products. Much of what was on offer was more reminiscent of a budget-priced selection from the food industry than restaurant cuisine. A form of culinary minimalism, in short, where taste and quality seemed to have been invited… but clearly never arrived. As for the drinks, the surprises continued: rosé and red wine served with extreme simplicity, reminiscent of the plastic containers usually reserved for much less ambitious occasions. A bold approach, but one difficult to reconcile with the legitimate expectations of such a place. The cocktail, for its part, will remain memorable… but not for the right reasons: imprecise flavors, uncertain balance—an almost experimental experience. Hosting a group of 50 people is a demanding undertaking, but that shouldn't justify such a drop in quality, both on the plate and in the glass. And then there's the issue of price: at this level, we're no longer talking about disappointment, but rather a kind of immersive experience within a rather unusual concept—paying restaurant prices for a service that feels more like a last-minute, budget-friendly solution. A certain audacity, indeed. One leaves almost in awe: managing to gather so many guests for such a unanimously disappointing experience is a kind of collective feat. In short, behind a pleasant setting, the service offered gives the distinct impression that the focus wasn't on what we were given to eat or drink. An experience that leaves one perplexed… and which, at that price, is sure to leave a lasting impression. As for me, the experience has at least had the merit of clarifying one thing: I won't be going back.

17/03/2026: Beautiful setting on the banks of the Charente, ideal for a relaxing meal. Nice traditional cuisine, pleasant service. A minor drawback: sometimes a slightly long wait and inconsistent dishes.
