02/04/2024: Loyal customer, I was disappointed by the mussels marinières which are nevertheless a classic! But what can I say, tasteless, no preparation, no taste, the marinière was bad, I had to add a spoonful of white wine! Make an effort, I'll come back and if you don't know, here's the recipe from the chef at La Régaline in St Palais: brown some butter, cut your onion, bay leaf, thyme, slice of lemon and salt pepper, reduce, deglaze with a good glass of dry white wine, stirred while cooking for 10 minutes depending on quantity and before serving sprinkle with flat, uncurled parsley...Enjoy your meal P.s a fish on the menu would be commercial...

04/10/2023: Recommended when you want to have a light meal in a short time. There were various types of pies. It was very satisfying to eat. However, the salad plate was deep and difficult to eat with a knife and fork. The ice cream and coffee were also delicious.

22/03/2024: This hotel is all about location. With direct access to the beach and far reaching views across the water to the Île d'Oléron. If you love sunsets, this is the place to come. There is a waterside swimming pool and lawn overlooking the beach which is a lovely spot to relax. A special mention to the staff who were all very friendly throughout our stay. The room was bright and clean with a comfortable bed, a separate WC and shower room. Air conditioning has been installed but we did not seem to get it to work - it was 28c and the room was very warm. The room also has a kettle with a couple of mugs, a small fridge and some water which was good. We loved sitting out on the balcony and enjoying an amazing sunset after dinner. We had dinner on the terrace with the sun setting - this really was a stunning location. The did a set price 3 course meal for about €36 a head. We really enjoyed both the taste and presentation of the food. The views were stunning as the sun began to set. We both started with a poached beetroot on a mousse of goats cheese, followed by main of prawns with rice and chicken on crushed potatoes. Deserts were delicious, a coffee and chocolate profiterole and a chocolate and peach tart. We had a bottle of lovely cold, crisp Muscadet - Bonnets Blancs. Service was very attentive and it was a lovely meal. Breakfast was OK, however they were running low on croissants etc and the orange juice machine was causing problems. Not sure it was worth paying 15€ each. There is a small car park, and street parking outside the hotel. I booked direct with the hotel and on arrival there seemed some confusion about our booking - despite me showing the confirmation email. We were eventually allocated room 16 which was a superior seaside room (the grade we had booked). It did feel a bit small, but the view was wonderful and it was not over the restaurant so more peaceful.

01/11/2023: Came to the Poussay fair (Vosges). For 2 years we have tasted oysters and bought them. Very good, meaty oysters. Can not wait for next year.

23/03/2024: Having lived in La Tremblade for several years, I had lunch in this restaurant for the first time and I really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and very pleasant. We have eaten well. Great value for money. I will return with pleasure.

13/03/2024: Evening stopover at the Belle Époque during a business trip. Very pleasant welcome. The establishment is well maintained, the room and its bathroom are clean and spacious. For the meal, a well-stocked menu which offers a wide choice of dishes. I enjoyed the Charentaise cuttlefish accompanied by a local dark beer. The more classic dessert with a crème brûlée that holds its own. The service is as pleasant as it is efficient. In the morning, breakfast is well stocked. Do not hesitate to walk through the door of this establishment.

02/04/2024: Superb experience and magnificent setting with a view of the ocean. The Easter menu was excellent. A starter full of freshness, a tasty main course and a dessert perfectly combining indulgence and refinement. Friendly and warm staff. Everything was perfect !
