14/08/2026: We stopped for a meal at this small, family-run restaurant during a stroll around Lake Tolla and were absolutely delighted with our discovery. The waiter was incredibly friendly, and the meals prepared by his father were delicious and very reasonably priced. The shaded terrace overlooking the lake was lovely. We highly recommend it.

02/08/2026: Very warm welcome, the wood-fired pizzas are very good. It's worth the detour.

28/08/2026: The drive there involves extremely narrow, steep, winding roads – you need a fair amount of driving experience and, above all, nerves of steel. Several times we had to maneuver for hundreds of meters because in some places two cars couldn't even pass side by side. It was pure adrenaline, something you really don't need on your vacation. Sure, the view is magnificent. But the lake itself was a huge disappointment: not deep blue, crystal-clear water (as seen in the online pictures), but brown. Swimming is prohibited, and it's not much fun anyway. The pedal boats are okay, and the two bars are good. But we definitely wouldn't come back for that reason. The Sylvenstein Reservoir in Bavaria is much nicer, and the drive there isn't nearly as adventurous.
