06/09/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and sometimes chance works out very well. This restaurant transported us back to our childhood, to a time when we didn't take the highways to go on vacation, when local produce graced every village square we passed through. The owner offers cuisine that's nostalgic in the best sense of the word. Here, herring with potatoes in oil is served with warm potatoes, kidneys are flambéed with cognac, the pork cheek is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the floating island is perfect, sprinkled with slivered almonds. A real treat, especially with a good glass of Saint Nicolas wine, of course. All this to the sound of an accordion and under the watchful eyes of Lino Ventura and Jean Gabin. 06/08/2026: The service was impersonal, giving the impression of being a nuisance because we were just passing through. As for the supposedly gourmet cuisine, it was light years away; tasteless, and the portions were ridiculously small. More than disappointed, especially considering the price.
