16/06/2026: A superb experience… the setting is magnificent, at the foot of the castle, with a very pleasant terrace. Chef Guillaume Vera's cuisine is simply exceptional. Rarely original and subtle… He is also a wine enthusiast, which is reflected in a truly top-notch wine list. All this at a more than reasonable price, and with very attentive service. I can't wait to go back!

14/06/2026: We stopped near the market halls during a tourist rally. A truly wonderful place. The welcome and service were perfect, with excellent advice. The food was simply superb. There were six of us at a table outside, and everyone enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

26/04/2026: The reviews weren't lying! In our five day trip we had a lot of good food but this was by far the best experience we had. Not not just an absolute steal but a culinary heist in broad daylight! The chef/owner is really welcoming, the selection of foods and wine was excactly right and his in depth knowledge, technique and creativity really came through with every single dish. Please do give this place a try.

24/06/2026: A lovely tea room, ice cream parlor, and biscuit shop. Incredibly delicious ice cream. Special mention to the young owner, who is also a very talented pastry chef and ice cream maker. I highly recommend it; enjoy without moderation.

One very minor issue (perhaps an isolated incident reported at the end of the meal): small bones in the Caesar salad, which, incidentally, isn't traditional; indeed, the breaded chicken was cold. However, I still recommend this restaurant. Reservations are necessary.

The dining rooms are now brighter, the kitchens have been adapted to the needs of Chef Maximilien Bridier, and the terrace has been transformed into a reception hall. On the plate, only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients are featured, and the Chef's talent is matched only by his perfectly controlled creativity. In the dining room, Stéphane and his excellent team ensure seamless service with a smile, attentiveness, and a touch of humor that gives the place a feeling of well-being. The large terrace, tastefully redecorated (the numerous parasols of varying shapes, sizes, and heights are a true work of art in themselves), offers ample privacy for each elegant table, perfect for celebrating life's most precious moments. This successful blend of beauty, delicious food, and well-being is unparalleled in the Tours region!

The team is incredibly attentive and contributes to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is simply incredible—flavorful and perfectly executed. A true delight from start to finish. Special mention goes to the attention given to the wine selection: being able to taste it before deciding is an excellent idea and a real plus! And to top it all off, we were offered a digestif at the end of our meal, a thoughtful touch that was much appreciated. This restaurant truly deserves its 5 stars. 17/06/2026: We very much enjoyed this restaurant as a young family. It’s small plates so plan to spend accordingly to get full, but it’s extremely high quality food, great friendly service with strong English speaking ability and games to play for kids while they wait. It was the most expensive family meal we had in the Loire valley but also the best by a long shot! Recommendations: filet mignon de pork with ponzu, Salmon tataki with risotto, Kafta meatballs, assorted cheese plate, and Torikatsu chicken (Japanese style fried chicken). Our boys loved the Torikatsu (we ordered two of them!) and the cheesecake, which was a steal at 6€!

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, ideal for a meal with family or friends. Special mention goes to the hummus, the grilled meats, and the Middle Eastern pastries. I will gladly return.
