13/08/2026: Passing through the area, we discovered this delightful restaurant. Everything is homemade using only local products, from beer and trout to vegetables and eggs. The quality of the ingredients is completely transparent. The owner, who also serves, is very helpful. This young, passionate restaurateur duo is launching their business with considerable expertise and originality, showcasing all the necessary knowledge. It's a pleasure to see and taste. A real treat... We recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly!

01/08/2026: We went to La Pegna this evening as a family (couple + daughter) to try the €30 set menus. Living in Damazan, we used to go there regularly. Since the change of ownership, some things have changed… and not necessarily for the better. The service was rather abrupt, with no attention paid to the table. They cleared our plates, removed our glasses, and that was it. No interaction, no interaction. As for the food: Gizzard salad with tomatoes straight from the fridge (no local tomatoes, which was a shame). Meat was undercooked as requested. We ordered rare, but received well-done. This isn't the first time this has happened to us here. The most frustrating aspect was the handling of the bill. After expressing our disappointment, the only response was a gesture along the lines of, "We'll give you the daughter's meal on the house and that's the end of it." This is neither a discussion nor communication. It's just a way to close the subject without really considering the customer. For a €30 set menu, you expect a minimum level of care in cooking and a bit more attentive service. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. It's a shame, we really liked this place.

24/07/2026: The atmosphere at this restaurant, L'Escapade Damazanaise, is truly pleasant and the decor is very tasteful. The waiters are both kind and efficient; they create a warm atmosphere from the moment we arrived.
