The interaction should remain cordial, especially since tables become available over time, and even if you're in a bad mood, respect the customer. Simply saying "sorry, I don't have a table available for a certain amount of time" is enough, like everyone else. However, speaking rudely, saying "you need to read the sign" as if we couldn't read, in such a haughty and authoritarian manner…! Change jobs if people annoy you! In short, I won't be back!
