25/08/2026: The homemade food was excellent 👍 And the service was great too

23/08/2026: Food-wise: The salad was served with dirt in it, which crunched between your teeth. The pork chop was almost entirely fat, the potatoes were swimming in oil, the stir-fried vegetables were frozen and completely tasteless, and the snails clearly came from Picard. There was no toilet paper, nothing to dry your hands with, and a general feeling of neglect. To top it all off, a row broke out between the waiter and the kitchen staff in front of the customers, creating the atmosphere of a poorly managed cafeteria rather than a restaurant. The service was friendly, but hearing "woula" and "frère" (a derogatory term for a certain type of person) with every other sentence completely undermined any sense of professionalism. In short: a series of malfunctions, from the food to the restrooms, including the internal organization. A frankly disappointing experience. A light fixture dangling from the ceiling on its own electrical wires, even the clock wasn't set to the right time, and the neighboring table hadn't been washed (we were the first customers, so it wasn't from the current service). On the plus side, the two waitresses were friendly and smiling, although their frustration with management's organization was palpable.

24/08/2026: Very disappointed by the waiter's attitude and lack of consideration. I usually come here around 1 p.m. for a quick coffee during my 30-minute break. I sat down and waited for a waiter to take my order. Several customers who arrived after me were served, so I thought he might simply not have seen me. He finally came, I ordered a coffee… and then I waited some more. Other customers who arrived after me were, once again, served while no one was taking my order. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I went to see the waiter to point out the situation. His response was: "Oh yes, the coffee, I'm coming." When I pointed out that several customers had been served before me, he replied: "It's fine, we're not going to argue over a coffee." I find this way of responding particularly inappropriate. It wasn't the coffee itself that was the problem, but the lack of attention, the fact that I was intentionally or unintentionally ignored for 30 minutes, and especially the way my comment was received. To prevent the situation from escalating, I decided to leave. Frankly, I find this behavior very disrespectful and particularly disappointing, especially in an establishment I used to frequent.

09/08/2026: I highly recommend La Chelloise. A very friendly and pleasant place. Welcoming and helpful staff.
