24/04/2026: Our stay was a Wonderbox gift, and we spent one night at the Château de Périgny. The room was magnificent and very clean, with furniture perfectly in keeping with the château theme; we really appreciated the decor.
The staff was very welcoming, attentive, and professional. The receptionist kindly lent me a toothbrush I had forgotten.
The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. A big plus: The swimming pool looked very inviting, although we didn't have time to use it. The hotel is dog-friendly. Three cats also live there permanently and will be delighted to greet you with purrs. A drawback: We had twin beds pushed together, which wasn't very practical. Breakfast was very good, but a bit pricey for what it was.
19/04/2026: Overall, a good experience with the dinner and overnight package. The restaurant is very good. The rooms in the castle are adequate, but the interiors feel dated and poorly maintained. It also lacks quite a few small amenities that are standard in other hotels.

RECEPTION: Efficient, Professional, Everything you would expect from a Logis Hotel.
ROOM: (Hotel Le Clovis)
Clean, Spacious, Quality Bedding.
One drawback to note: The television is ancient (probably from the 90s). The screen size is ridiculous; even my PC has a bigger screen!
BATHROOM: (Hotel Le Clovis)
Clean, Spacious. It's a shame that the tiles, the ceramics, and the fixtures (sink, bathtub) all scream 80s!
BREAKFAST: (Hotel Le Clovis)
A generous buffet is offered.
It even includes local specialties like Tourteau Fromager (a type of cheesecake) and Broyé du Poitou (a type of shortbread).
03/02/2026: We stayed at this hotel during the summer of 2025. We booked through a Wonderbox gift voucher, and the hotel was supposed to provide a small welcome gift (two bottles of local wine and a box of "Goulibeur" biscuits).
Once we arrived, no one was available to give us this gift, but we were told it would be sent to us.
I've contacted the manager three times since July, and she assures me she'll send it shortly: we still haven't seen a penny of it.
I do not recommend this hotel; the customer service is appalling.
In addition, the rooms are clearly outdated, and the breakfast buffet was questionable (especially the cold cuts).
Avoid it.
