08/06/2024: We arrive “unannounced” around 8:00 p.m.
The restaurant is far from full (3 tables max)
We enter the restaurant where we wait 7 to 10 minutes for someone to come see us, they are charming customers sitting nearby who bother themselves in the kitchen to warn the person.
Phew, finally “the person” who comes to see us (we understand that she is then all alone in the restaurant serving and cooking)
When he sees us I already see a worry on his face let's move on, I tell him that there are 3 of us and that we want to eat on site on the terrace
The person then replies “have you made a reservation?” I then tell myself that she is probably waiting for a passenger bus or a wedding, no, not at all.. she replies "I'm warning you, I'm all alone, I can't be everywhere, it's going to take a long time"....
We settle in, taking the cards as we go...
The charming customers arrive at our table, seating us and bringing us cutlery, glasses and napkins....
We wait a good 20 minutes for the person to arrive to take the aperitif order phew...
She explains to us that it will take a very long time to serve (same chorus) while saying that the customers sit anywhere in the room, she makes us see that the customers behind us have reservations and that they do not are still not served...
The order is taken for the aperitif
She then asks us what dish we are having (between times) a couple leaves because it is not served
My daughter decides to have a bib (the person thinks, wondering if there is any left) yes, it’s good!
My wife has a salad...
For me.. I want to have a saltimboca escalope.. and la la.. boom
"Ah no it's not possible, 3 different dishes, it's too complicated, I'm all alone, in short being of good composition, I decide to change the dish, I offer him a burger.. and repeat... it's again 3 different dishes she breathes, she ruminates...
I told you again that I was all alone and that I couldn't have 3 different dishes... with an angry look "I'll take your order"
She leaves with the order, given the situation we decide to pay for our drink and leave, that's when she says in the room, even cutting the bread I don't have time...
We went to eat elsewhere it was 9:00 p.m. we ate pasta at home!
By making this message, I hope that the person will become aware of several things
Why did you accept us from the start and not simply say that it was impossible to receive you this evening?
Why not simply closed in the evening or offer 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts (simpler management)
I can't criticize the food, we only ate peanuts!!!
In short, the attitude is shocking and unacceptable for a restaurant, we have lived in the commune since 2007 and we knew the former restaurateur (friendly smile etc...)
We want to keep the local business going... Unfortunately, if you have this mentality that to go to a restaurant you have to make a reservation, I advise you to plan another job in the future.. too bad...
14/05/2024: Nous sommes venus à 19 après avoir réservé (bien sûr) un menu unique;
Accueil chaleureux, assiettes agréables et excellente cuisine;
Tout le monde était ravi tant par les assiettes que par la décoration. Merci madame
