22/10/2025: Such an amazing experience. Liz and Joe were the most gracious hosts and treated my partner and I exceptionally. With an incredibly informative tour, exceptional food and world class wine. Anything written in this review doesn't do the evening we spent with them enough credit to an unforgettable night and lovley people. If we ever have the opportunity of being in the region again, we will be returning.
24/09/2025: Winery visit: it is impossible to overstate the warmth of hospitality of Joe and Liz! We arrived as strangers, and left feeling like family.
The winery tour was everything we could have hoped for: starting with a chilled glass of white on the terrace overlooking the hills, tasting grapes on the vine about to be harvested, a tour of the equipment, pouring wines straight from the tank and dipping a cask, with Joe telling anecdotes about the history as well as explaining how it’s done. Finally Liz’s amazing and generous cooking in their beautiful dining room, including her home-cured salmon. She even tweaked the menu to ensure that our young Asian friends got a home-cooked rice dish. Convivial doesn’t begin to describe it. Thankfully, Liz also arranged with our taxi driver to come back rather later than originally planned 😂. Practical note: it’s about 20 minutes drive from Carcassonne and they can recommend taxi drivers.

08/09/2024: We first stumbled on this excellent canal-side restaurant in July 2024 and had an excellent dinner with wonderful tellines persilade to start with and followed up with fillet of turbot also very good. There's a strong emphasis on fish and seafood here but not exclusively so something for most tastes. The chef is talented, knows his craft and prepares fresh innovative dishes presented with flair and care. So good was gthe first visit we stopped again now in September for lunch...lovely moules buchot followed up with a blanquette fo homard and sole. The desserts can be both tempting and dangerous! Try the Frozen Gin - with cucumber sorbet.....brilliant. Nice friendly service and a chef who takes pride in his work. This is a keeper!
23/08/2024: Good restaurant. Quiet on the edge of the canal. The cuisine is refined and the fish is excellent. The chef and table staff are very friendly. To discover and encourage 😉
