25/12/2025: A real treat, everything was exquisite and delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the pesto was divine (May 2022). I'm updating my review. Christmas dinner at an unbeatable price, wonderfully presented, cooked, and varied. Thank you.
31/10/2025: The meal was excellent from start to finish. Everything was homemade. For the quality, the meal wasn't excessively expensive.

17/02/2026: Clarifications following the owner's response: Thank you for your reply. To avoid any confusion, I would like to provide some factual clarifications. My 78-year-old mother simply approached the kitchen entrance, which has no door, after several minutes of no one being present in the dining room. She was concerned about her grandson being late for work and wanted to calmly point out this constraint so that it could be taken into account in the service schedule. Contrary to what is stated in the owner's response, this action, taken after noticing a large group already seated, was not intended to expedite service but solely to point out a genuine work-related time constraint in order to avoid a delay. We did not, at any time, disrespect anyone or ask to be served before other customers. Contrary to what the owner stated in their response, we were never offered a choice between the set menu and the à la carte menu, and we were not informed of the menu's contents or price when we ordered, which explains our confusion. What was meant to be a pleasant family meal unfortunately turned tense, which is why we cut our meal short without dessert or coffee. We would like to point out, however, that the dish served was good, which makes this experience all the more regrettable. I fully respect the restaurant business, as with any service profession. Regular customers naturally keep an establishment afloat, but every first-time customer also hopes to feel welcome and receive the same attentive service, as respect generally begets respect in return. My initial comment concerned only the service I received and was not directed at the kitchen staff or the person at the reception desk, who was attentive during the payment process. Our recollections of events clearly differ; this addition is simply intended to clarify the experience. Google reviews are intended to share experiences to help future customers. I wish you all the best nonetheless. Initial review: The owner's welcome was very disappointing. She was visibly offended when we simply stated that my son needed to be able to return to work by 1:30 PM at the latest. We had arrived at 12:05 PM. My mother mentioned this time constraint around 12:25 PM precisely to avoid any misinterpretation related to our presence during school holidays (a mother with two young children and a grandmother might give the impression of a table without any particular obligation). The goal was simply to allow for appropriate scheduling so that my son could return to work on time. We were obviously not asking to be served ahead of other customers, only that this constraint be taken into account in the service organization, without being pushed to the very end. We were then informed that regular customers had priority. We were given no choice between the set menu and the à la carte menu, and only one dish—andouillette sausage—was offered. We had to express our surprise before an alternative was finally suggested, in a rather unfriendly tone. We also noticed that a table that arrived after us was offered a choice between the set menu and the à la carte menu, which surprised us all the more given our own experience. When it came time to pay, the gentleman at the reception desk was genuinely sorry about the situation, which we appreciated. We had fond memories of the establishment before the change of ownership, which makes this experience all the more regrettable. We will not be returning. It's a shame, because other establishments in the Haute-Loire region know how to treat their customers with more consideration.
11/02/2026: We parked our van in the large parking lot and stumbled upon it. The welcome, the decor, the staff, the service, the food—everything was top-notch. We're already looking forward to our next visit in our van and definitely parking our campervan. THANK YOU to the whole team.
