21/06/2026: Passing through the region on my way back from the G7 summit, accompanied by a fellow journalist, I stopped at La Caserne Sarde—and left with a heavy heart. Just a stone's throw from the Swiss border, this restaurant champions remarkably precise traditional French cuisine. The extensive menu showcases local produce—my veal kidneys were cooked to perfection—and is complemented by a superb, expertly recommended wine list. The attentive and warm service, without ever being intrusive, completes the memorable experience. Nestled in this small border town, the restaurant is of such high quality that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the twenty-five-minute taxi ride from Geneva: it's more than worth it.

30/05/2026: If you're very busy and in a hurry, don't go there; the food is incredibly slow. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our main course, and luckily we didn't order an appetizer! It was the slow service that made us skip dessert. It's a shame, because the place is nice, the setting is beautiful, and the service is impeccable!

26/05/2026: I love this restaurant! The food is refined and very generous. The pastries are made by a pastry chef who creates magnificent and delicious desserts! Impeccable service with qualified and attentive staff. Even the chef sometimes helps out with the service. And to top it all off, a unique setting with a terrace reminiscent of a Balinese garden.

23/05/2026: Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've ever had in an Asian restaurant. The food was simply disgusting, and at best, completely tasteless. The sushi was inedible: dry, hard, and mushy rice, crudely cut fish, and clearly questionable quality. It really felt like everything had been prepared hours beforehand. The worst part was the completely melted ice cream at the buffet. I pointed it out to the staff, and they left it as is despite the warning. In terms of hygiene and respect for customers, this is extremely worrying. The buffet was poorly maintained, the food looked like it had been sitting around for ages, the staff didn't react at all, and the quality was catastrophic from beginning to end. I strongly advise against going there. I wouldn't set foot in there again, even for free.

04/07/2026: Passing through Ville-la-Grand, we tried this restaurant and unfortunately, it wasn't a good lunch. The welcome was cold, the plates were plastic—not very appealing! And the buffet was really unappetizing... The only good things were the green beans, the watermelon, and the floating island dessert. On a Saturday at lunchtime, there were only 20 people—so-so, a cold atmosphere... The only nice touch was the fish at the entrance... €45 for two buffets on a Saturday at lunchtime? We passed.

04/07/2026: As someone who loves Asian cuisine, I strongly advise against this place. The food is tasteless and overcooked, almost like it's frozen. There's a strong smell of gas or something else pervading the buffet. The plates are plastic, which is unappetizing. And if anyone gets sick after eating here, don't even think about going to this place; avoid it as much as possible.
