18/01/2026: The takeout service at this restaurant is appalling. I ordered a meal to pick up on January 16, 2026, and they forgot to include the appetizer. This is the second time this has happened.
Anyway, I called to let them know and request a refund (a credit note) to my bank card. They asked me to come back for the missing appetizer, but I explained that I was 25 minutes away and that the best option—especially since I was trying to relax on a Friday night after a long week of work—was to have the money credited back to my card.
They assured me it would be done and that the manager would call me back. Nothing happened: the manager never called me back, and I still haven't received the refund in my account.
My advice to anyone picking up an order: check every box and every bag in the package, because apparently this kind of oversight happens far too often. I wonder why…

The welcome was incredibly warm, and the food, cooked over a wood fire, was simply fabulous.
Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the plate, not forgetting the complimentary rum offered by the owner.
I highly recommend it.

11/12/2025: Came for a group end-of-year meal. Very disappointed by the welcome, many cancellations admittedly at the last minute due to illness, no compensation offered... and the food was really not up to standard, the perfect egg ended up hard-boiled and swimming in a ton of cream, the fish was overcooked and the rice was overly salty, and as for dessert, it was just concentrated sugar.

This establishment gives no desire to return: the hygiene and cleanliness, and the amateurishness of the staff, are not worthy of the Marie Blachère brand, whose image is severely tarnished locally. Isn't there a charter or set of standards to be respected?

18/06/2024: 18 juin 2024 - De passage à St-Gély-du-Fesc et un peu tard ce midi, nous nous arrêtons dans ce restaurant très atypique, ne sachant pas si nous pourrions déjeuner. Il était prêt de 14h...bref ! un garçon nous indique qu'il pourra nous trouver de quoi nous restaurer même à cette heure-là. Effectivement, vite installés, vite commandés, les assiettes sont arrivées juste derrière notre commande. Serveur très agréable, avec humour et bienveillance...Cuisine simple, mais bonne et cuisinée avec goût. Bref un très bon moment que nous renouvellerons. L'endroit est très 'Vintage' avec de très bons souvenirs de notre enfance. Ambiance chaleureuse. MERCI à toute l'équipe.

Le panaché du boucher est par contre bon.
Le personnel est très sympathique et avenant.
30/07/2024: Dîner après une séance cinéma puisque emplacement stratégique de cet établissement à proximité du megarama CGR …. 1 table pour 3 :
1 hamburger, 1 salade cesar, 1 plancha méditerranéenne : plats insipides, peu nourrissants , peu d’ingrédients , pas vraiment garnis, aucun rapport avec leurs prix trop élevés!
L’Accueil du personnel ne compense même pas la déception du rapport qualité/prix!
