19/08/2026: A message to all tourists: be careful! The waitress, in order to sell bottled water for a fee, told me that carafes of water were no longer available. It's good to know that in France, bars and restaurants are required to provide drinking water to their customers free of charge during meals. Furthermore, in Nice, as in the rest of France, tap water is drinkable and perfectly suitable for consumption. There's therefore no need to pay €10 for a bottle of water, especially when you can simply ask for a carafe d'eau.
