Maizieres-Les-Metz
22/09/2026: Very good. Generous quantity for pasta dishes.
17/09/2026: Avoid at all costs! We used to be happy with this restaurant. That was before... The good points: - The meat was quite good. The cooked vegetables were good. The bad points: Here we go.... We're off to a bad start: a pizzeria that doesn't have any pizzas at the moment because they don't have a pizza chef. We were only told this after my wife had already chosen her dish. And a pizzeria without pizzas... besides, there are more complicated things than pizzas, you can always manage without a pizza chef... Very expensive for what it is. We arrive and they bring us our drinks after 30 minutes. Non-alcoholic cocktails with half-empty glasses, to say the least, and tasteless. The orange juice was the cheapest kind from Leclerc supermarket. The waitress walks past us several times without asking for the rest of our order. To get food, we have to make her understand with insistent looks before she comes to take our order. After an hour and fifteen minutes in the restaurant, our food is finally brought to us after we insisted several times. To give you an idea, all the tables that arrived after us, and quite a few, had left a long time ago... One spaghetti with tomato sauce for my son, gnocchi with tomato sauce, and two beef fillets with fries. No need to take that long to do this... The gnocchi weren't great, and the meat wasn't beef tenderloin—it's a lie to say that—but a less desirable cut. Unfortunately for you, my godfather, who is also my uncle, was at my table. He happens to be a professional chef and manages a hotel-restaurant. You can't fool him... We asked for it grilled on top and rare inside, and we got a piece of beef that was blue—the cooking was completely off. The tiramisu for dessert was nothing special; you can find better at Leclerc. The worst part is that we should have said we were in a hurry to be served faster, supposedly due to staff shortages at the moment (my wife has been there several times in the last year and a half). She works nearby and told me she's always seen the same staff. No genuine apologies from them, just snide remarks, like we were the ones who were wrong for not saying we were in a hurry...lol No gesture of goodwill, like offering drinks for the inconvenience... That's standard practice in the industry. Meat portions were skimpy, and the fries weren't homemade—it's unbelievable... After 2 hours and 5 minutes, we finally left. My son, who's under 3, was completely exhausted. Naturally, at that age... And at the end, they just said goodbye as if nothing had happened. The nerve, the bad faith, the lies, the dishonesty, the lack of professionalism and organization. A waste of time. We were told it was normal to wait because it's not a snack bar, and that they shouldn't exaggerate with dishes that cook quickly and require little effort... Thank you. Goodbye. We definitely won't be back, especially not for the price. My godfather did, however, give a generous tip to the waitress, who was quite friendly. He's more than kind. Responding to your comment: Stating truths that bother you doesn't necessarily mean it's disrespectful. When I read and hear some of the comments about your lack of friendliness, I know I'm not alone.... Regarding the meat, I'll trust someone who knows how to serve their customers while working alone in the kitchen and serving in a full restaurant... And calling you back to cook the meat only to make you wait even longer after 1 hour and 15 minutes? No, we'll avoid that.... Regarding the pizzas, let's say, even though, once again, it's necessary to plan ahead to offer pizzas in a pizzeria, or to inform customers before making a reservation that there are no pizzas on the menu, it's still important in a pizzeria where some people come specifically to eat pizza. Please be understanding, but we certainly won't be, lol, by making you wait even longer and offering no apology or gesture of goodwill.... The leftovers were taken out of respect for the person who paid. Finally, don't forget that you need customers to make a living. Customers don't need your restaurant, though. A word to the wise. GOODBYE
