06/01/2024: We were there on a day when there were few people. So the atmosphere was not necessarily there. lThe service was quite pleasant. Concerning the cuisine it was quite special because spicy for sushi is not usual, however quite good.

13/09/2023: We tried to call and make reservations at this place 3-months in advance multiple times and nobody picked up the phone. 2-months from our Paris trip, our hotel called multiple times and tried to make a reservation for us. Nobody picked up the phone for them. The Reviews look good. But it would help to have an online reservation system or even an email contact. This would save everyone’s time.

26/02/2024: Regular customer, almost always taking 2 small menus to have a sumotori quantity (I weigh 180kg), for less than 30 euros I am satisfied with good quality and reasonable quantities. There is nothing exceptional at Akasen but everything is GOOD... and it's rare that it's always without (bad) surprises for 3 years in a restaurant that I frequent every 3 or 4 months.

05/03/2024: Order at c. 100 euros for 2 people. 45 minutes late. Much overcooked rice that tastes rancid (probably not cooked that day). Forgot the wasabi (for a sushi brand). Not available on the phone for customer support. Last Time. To flee.
04/03/2024: The kitchen being completely open to the restaurant, the chefs shouting among themselves, it is absolutely not pleasant. They make more noise than all the customers seated. In addition, the service is not the warmest. A good taste for the dish all the same

I can only comment on the food and not the atmosphere or service as I placed my order through Uber eats.
04/12/2023: 🌱 Some vegetarian options.
Small, discreet restaurant-grocery store, with barely a few tables to sit at, you feel a certain intimacy and pleasant calm. The service was friendly. The dishes are already prepared which allows for great speed. They are kept warm and are quite good. I do not recommend desserts except the macha cream, the others are not very consistent or too dry.
