18/10/2025: A real favorite in Clisson!
We had a wonderful time at Au Pied des Escaliers. The welcome was warm and sincere, and the owner was very friendly, always with a smile and a lot of kindness!
The dishes are delicious, homemade, and beautifully presented. The setting is typical of Clisson, and the atmosphere is friendly.
I recommend this place without hesitation; you really feel at home there.

Restaurant Best Western Hotel Villa Saint Antoine

10/02/2026: The head receptionist, Soulaimane, is condescending and unpleasant, sometimes even haughty depending on who he's dealing with. He's very judgmental and makes no secret of it. If I were you, I'd keep quiet about it when his name appears on his name tag.
The hotel is located in a rather dull town. We booked specifically for the spa, but only learned upon arrival that it was out of service for repairs. Had we known this beforehand, we wouldn't have stayed at this hotel, which ultimately has very little to offer. It's really not worth the trip.
25/01/2026: Aside from the difficulty in finding access and a free parking space, this place is magnificent. We spent a very pleasant night, enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and had a spa/hammam session and treatment, all in a very typical setting.

My coconut curry shrimp wok was excellent!!!
The prices are really affordable. My partner had 3 dishes because the entire menu appealed to him. Spring rolls, beef wok, and bobun. Great discovery.
Nice choice for vegetarians.
Very friendly and adorable welcome.
We will come back!

16/09/2024: Très bel endroit au calme près de la rivière. Cuisine raffinée et inventive. Mention spéciale au chef pour ses menus enfants confectionnés avec le même soin que POR les grands et contribuent à l’éducation du palais de nos petits amours.
15/09/2024: When it's not overwhelmingly busy I imagine this is a great restaurant. Unfortunately yesterday it was packed and we waited about 30 mins to get the menus even though it was prebooked.the starter of burrito and peach was light and lovely and my husband had the foie gras mousse which was very good. Then another long wait to receive nearly cold main courses, mine was pork and couscous that was nice even though just warm and Rick had a prawn curry that he enjoyed but was cold too. The staff were mainly young and inexperienced and too few to manage that many clients.

23/11/2023: Un vrai chocolatier avec des chocolats maison et ça se sent ! Les goûts sont au rendez-vous et les conseils sont judicieux. L'accueil est toujours de bon ton.
Nous avons déjà hâte d'être à Noël pour nous régaler de vos bûches et chocolats !
