Very disappointing.
It was freezing outside: the front door didn't close properly, and we were getting drafts.
The welcome was cold and unfriendly.
A manager came from the kitchen with crepes, pushed open the swinging door, grabbed the remaining crepes from the display case with his bare hands to put the new ones in, and then put them back in the display case: all this without gloves or tongs! Hygiene needs improvement.
I came a few years ago and it was pleasant, but this time I'm very, very disappointed.
I no longer recommend it.

Homemade...good, tasty, very well served, and the cooking is calm and with a smile from start to finish!! The price is more than reasonable considering the quality!

26/06/2025: Small restaurant offering family cuisine at reasonable prices. We were passing through this town and we didn't know of any restaurants in particular, for lunch. While chatting with a charming shopkeeper who was exhibiting Malagasy crafts inside the La Chaussée shopping center, she recommended we have lunch at Au P'tit Bar. Small, no-nonsense family cuisine, homemade, but delicious, with options either as a main course, on the slate, according to your desires or appetite, or a full menu (in 3 courses) with a starter of your choice, a main course of your choice, a dessert of your choice starting at €22. You can have lunch or dinner outside or in the cool air inside. That day, because of the heatwave, we had lunch in the cool air inside. This small restaurant is located not far from the SNCF train station. The menus change daily.

Delicious dishes, especially the fine apple tart, truly a treat
Everything is homemade
There really isn't too long a waiting time between each dish, which I really appreciate.
As for wine or champagne, finally restaurants that don't serve us low-end wines at exorbitant prices!!!
Everything is perfect and this remains rare these days!

05/01/2026: Two visits, two masterclasses in utter nonsense.
First time, a 30-minute wait even though there was no one there. We thought, "Okay, why not?"
Second time, even worse. The drive-thru and parking lot were empty, but we still waited for ages. Makes sense.
At the window to pay, a magical moment: one person actually working and four others just watching, probably conducting a sociological study of drive-thru service. No wonder the order arrived three centuries later AND with mistakes. Not a single one of them could avoid one—it's incredible.
At the microphone, the super-friendly lady chewing gum and talking. We couldn't understand a thing, but she seemed very involved (obviously, that's a lie; she couldn't care less, she was just stringing words together—you'd need a PhD to decipher it). We ordered rustic sandwiches and only received fries (a surprise from the chef).
We ordered two Cokes and left with one Coke and one Oasis (mystery menu).
So basically, you pay, but they decide what you eat and drink. Original concept, never seen anywhere else!
Following an order in a fast-food restaurant seems complicated to me. Their job isn't that complicated, yet making sandwiches, taking payments, and refilling glasses must take a lot of effort.
In short, the service was abysmal and the organization nonexistent. Avoid it, unless you enjoy culinary games of chance.

25/09/2024: Pleasant service, average atmosphere with the proximity of other customers and good dishes but to be reviewed. Let me explain. Poached egg starter with “smoked bacon mousse”. It sells dreams but in fact a mousse is a whipped cream with a piece of dried smoked bacon on top, without much taste. It was good but not at all what I expected.
There were two of us, we got two meats. The sauces were good, the meat quality but too bad they were both overcooked. As for the rossini, it had the texture of a mollard after the first stab. Low-end foie gras that does not hold up when cooked. So we didn't have dessert.
The visual presentations are very successful, the tastes are there, but a big shame for the reasons cited.
We will surely come back, being long-time customers, but not for a long time.

Restaurant to avoid
